Bodywork: I've owned this car for over 2 years and don't have time to use it anymore so i've decided to sell it, i had the bottom half painted when i first got it, its not the best job in the world but it looks clean, there is a slight run on the petrol cap and it has a couple of tiny rust spots coming through but you can literally barely see them. The top half is the original paint, bit faded on the roof and boot lid but looks good after a polish. Other than that there is the usuall car park dings in the door, again theses are hardly noticable but if you wanted a show car you'd get these sorted. Dub-miester german plates with UK font.

It has early square headlights and debadged grill. Car will come with the origianl sigle round headlamps and VW grill also.

It's badged on the rear as a 'Derby S' i also have various polo badges that will come with the car.

Engine: When i got the car it was a 1.0L 5 speed with an oil leak from the head. I bought a K reg mk3 GT and used it as a doner car, this GT had 108000 on the clock. It has full GT loom and fuel lines, even transplated the washer and water bottles for the mk3 items. Engine has a pitstop developments cam and adjustable pully, PhilJ 4 branch manifold, K&N filter and full stainless Jetex exhaust from a G40 extendend to fit the saloon. I have been running the car with golf 8v injectors and ecu and airflow meter which is fine if you're into spending a fortune on fuel and with the cam it started running lumpy, obviously massively overfuelling, so i've returned it to standard set up. With a chip on it and the timing set up properly i think it would be pretty quick.

Brand new fuel tank done less than 50 miles.

Running gear: The car has a brand new set of Jamex Sportline shocks and springs, 70mm at the front and adjustable at the rear these have literally covered less than 1000 miles, it's a very stiff set up. G-laderseite racing 1 kit- ARB blocks and outer bushes on the tie rods, the inner bushes are powerflex ones.

Mk2 golf 8v front brakes.

Front upper strut brace.

Wheels and tires: 13x7J Alleycats, not a single kerb mark on any of the wheels, they are as new condition. 4x101 or something so are on wobble bolts, the offset is not VW so they stick out the arches about an inch, this looks ok but they used to scrub hence having to stiffen the suspension right up, could do with raising on the rear slightly, you wouldn't be able to go lower at the front with these wheels. They have dunlop SP2000 tyres with loads of tread and just a slight scrub line around the edge where they'd rubbed. These tyres are slighty streached, can't remember the size off hand.

Also comes with original steel wheels with Yokohama 032R Soft compound road legal cut-slicks on them they have life left in them i only used them on one track day.

Interior: Interior needs finishing off, no carpets at all centre consol has been taken out cd player in the glovebox its and old kenwood, quite tempremental but works, fire extinguisher where the centre consol was. Alloy gear knob, gear stick has been cut down.

Full leather from a hyundai coupe including rear bench. Seats in good condition but the passenger one is fixed in positon and the drivers doesn't move much!

Right then, i've been as honest as i can and mentioned everything i can think of. I've spent quite a bit of money and time on this car and it really just needs a few bits finishing off to make a real decent motor, oh it won a trophy at havoc mega meet as well, that will come with the car!

Car is in Tenterden Kent.
