my first car... polo 6n2!

Featured Replies

Loving this whole post man! I'm in the same situation, got a Blue one though. Looking to do exact same mods as you (more or less) but needing coilovers so badly!

Lovely motor btw! :)

Love the car mate! Where did you get those rims?

i'm into this mate, very low key! whats the reason for selling?

Thanks. I don't want to sell it but it's getting abit old for a younge driver like me that does loads of miles and I travel and the motoway frequenc (not good for a 1 litre ha!) So I've decided to sell up for a polo 9n3.

9n3 FTW!!!

Love your 6n2 though, really lovely motor - you've done a good job with it!

Thanks guys, well after a long think, I might just keep it, alot of hard work and money has gone into this and insurance for me is very high in my postcode. So alot more modifications to come, currently have some spare. Impersonal half smoothed. Will eventually Finnish them, and hoping for banded steels. But will see as time goes.

eBay mate 180 quid brand new, but I'm sure you can get second hand ones with tyres for 200 quid

It's been a while but I still have my little beast. And have been working

On it. I have personally smoothed front and rear bumpers and got a mate of mine to paint them.

I have also sprayed the wheels chrome for some reason lol.

Depends what your wrapping mate, if it's badges just get some wrapping vinyl and a heat gun and heat the vinyl and stretch it on. Then use a soft rag and apply it with you finger. Get a sharp blade and cut on the edges angling your blade. It's easy peasy might take a few attems but I'm sure theres guide on te Internet.

And the car has sold! The gear box and clutch have shit itself so I've part exhanged it for a 1.4 16v 100bhp 9n already on coilovers. New project bye bye Percy! Much love.

A sharpe Stanley blade will do mate.

Funnerly enought I bought it yesterday off my mate and he had coilovers for it so he's fitting ten for free and giving me them for free. So I'll get a picture on here and start a new thread =) happy days.
