Sooo basically need some stretch on these 13's as I have to use 20mm spacers to fit them on so they're sticking out of the arch by about an inch.

This is them with 185/60's which are ridiculous so just wondering what size tyres to get and if you could post a picture of what it looks like on a 5.5j would be great :)

I was thinking 165/55's but I don't think it will be enough :/

I can also roll the arches a little bit as my brother just got an arch roller

Its lowered 80mm now.

mate you probably wont get any stretch unless you get some wider wheels, i have some 165/55's on my 13x5.5j's and there not stretched at all, just look completely tiny!

if your keeping those wheels though, 165 55's will look awesome, and you can slam the hell out of your car! mines lowered 70mmish, and since I've put them on i would be able to put it to at least 100 i reckon! handles well too

I know but if the wheels are still poking with the 165/55's on then i'll roll them a bit

What sort of carriers do you have on your brakes? (if that's what you need the spacers For?) Because there are two sorts, one comes around the outside of the caliper and can cause clearance issues, the other sort doesn't have that so can help. Not sure if that's reinvent to you but thought it was worth mentioning

Hahaha they do its awful, ermm I'm not sure about the carriers, the problem is getting the wheels over the calipers but I think its more the fact the wheels are a dodgy offset :/

They're awesome wheels but as they're sat there you're never gonna achieve they're potential. There must be a way around the caliper clearance issues.

There is, the 20mm spacers :L Once i get the new tyres on I'm sure it will be fine :)

just grind a bit off the back of your wheels, it'll be fiiiiiiiine...

i'd also go for 145/80/13s they are good for clearance I've been told

Do you have to have 20mm spacers? That seems like a really high offset of the wheels. Would something like 10mm not do? Thing is, by stretching onto 5.5" wheels, your drastically reducing the contact patch. You could run 135 width if you wanted to

Maybe so but its a breadvan, I think I can get away with it :LL seriously even with the 20mm spacers the wheels are so close to the caliper that the little clips that wedge the pads in scrape on the inside of the wheel.

Look at your tyre tread. Even if the tyres were so skinny they were just the three bands in the middle instead of the five,at 135 wide,they'd catch the arch lip.

The wheel is so far out of the bearing line,your bearings wont last. It must steer horribly.

new wheels needed really if they stick out that far at the front, front poke and no rear poke looks silly to the extent that you'll need spacers on the rear that are half a foot long for it too match the poke at the front

btw if traffic police see your poke they can bend you over and poke you with 3 points!

it's 3 points per wheel so if both fronts are poking it would be 6 points
