Forgot about this old thread well its done and has been done over a year :-D

It's been an expensive year as well with fuel pump and dizzy both failing on me

But here he is shiny and good looking. (and the misses not so elegantly falling out of it lol)

covered 14,000 miles between M.O.T's

Failed on a sill, which i thought it would last year. all sorted now cost 150 dollar all in.

The head got port polished and cammed, with all new gear valves and guides etc.

So enough blast from the past its time to get on with the future... is that right ? i don't know anyway i digress..

To do list

- new fuel tank and presumably welding to accompany it

- Got some new wheels BBS Mahle's need refurbing white centers and polished lips

- Waiting on a quote for some body work/ whole respray.

- Coilovers to make sure the new wheels wonte scrub.

- Poly bushes for lower arms and track rods if there available ?

- sort out the rear hand brake as its shite nearly failed M.O.T.

- GET IT TRACKED !!!

Erm think thats it... for now.

So all you wheel whores/mathematicians running 6j with an ET of 13 a drop of around 60mm on the front and 40mm on the rear on 13" rims. What tyres do i need to run :-D ???

The engine bay looks a little different will try and get some really new pics this weekend. I'm enjoying this again can't you tell lol.

quick update.

Got some genuine VW floor mats fixed my door card rattle and put my new front carpet in with no holes interior is starting to look a little smarter. I've got some new door cards to put in but I want to dye them black before hand. Just wondering if anyone has done anything like that before and how it came out ?

Going to get a new lower arm on this weekend and get it tracked up. Will get some pics up when the weather changes for the better. Looking into getting a new rear beam for a disc conversion and new fuel tank

Okay my mk3 GT has set back on the o/s/f wheel it's really pissing me off 

Any ideas on what the cause could be. At first I thought lower arm but it's got a new one and still the same I have noticed that the anti roll bar is not level it sits further to the o/s. On the two mounts on the front. Could this be the cause or is there anything else you guys can think of ? The only reason I ask is that the other wheel sits how it should in the arch.Confused much  Thanks in advance Rob

Bent roll bar or chassis leg?

The osf roll bar mount can be moved slightly on the 2 bolts where it mounts to the chassis leg, not by much though.

Check the chassis leg for kinks and creases where it goes over the driveshaft.
