so far in the interior i am going to fit this in properly to keep with the retro feeling..

so in the glove box i attempted to install a cd player holder to hold a modern cd player.. any ways i couldn't get the finish i wanted as its the first time i have used fibreglass and filler.. here is how it looked..

and this is how it ended up..

thats a very good idea with the cd player in the glove box. I love that your going retro with the interior, it will suit it with the ats classics on it. Far to many people ruin mk 2 breadies by trying to make them look modern. Keep up the good work and keep us updated on progress.

so i picked up my wheels and have began polishing them up :) they are 13x6 ATS CUPS! pretty rare if i must say.. running them as i should only have to do minor if any arch work to the rears and fronts.. i will let the pics do the talking :)

engine bay cleaned, degreased, lick off paint etc

notice the massive washer tank and lack off expansion tank.. thats cause it has a top fill rad!

and the lack off side repeaters, took me a while to realise that...

and the wheels... right one is partly machine polished..

I remember finding an almost identical, same colour GL spec early Mk2 in a local scrap yard about 5 years ago. Most of its interior lives on in my Mk2 to this day! My biggest regret is not taking all the GL trim as well!

aww man, i do love the interior but wouldn't mind some brown recaros :p

ok so i had the wheels proffesinaoaly polished after as it was taking to long and the blisters hurt! the car is now also lowered 80/40 and IMO could go down another 10mm to be perfect... pics to folow soon, hopefully going for a shoot tonight with a few of the boys....

also i have purchased a 1.4 16v AFH engine with coupe s gear box and running off the cbr600 bike carbs.. this is yet to be dropped in as I'm planning on polishing as much as i can before putting it in.. full stainless and hopefully get some coilovers when ever phil j gets some back in stock!

any ways watch this space!

little update, wheels are on and dropped her 60/40.. still waiting to get coilovers...:)

the other night a managed to snap a driveshaft clean in half, 1.1 power!!!

still haven't done any work on my AFH lump, just sitting in the garage gathering dust :( things soon to change :)

i have the engine rebuilt and painted etc, just gotta finish making an alternator bracket and a few other bits, then i'm done and it can go in.

Love the colour, love the wheels, love the long mud flaps, love the bumper overrides, love the bump strip thing down the sides and love the from valance protector thing. If you fancy an interior swap DeathFromAbove wants one of these brown interiors.

cool man, what are you doing for the bracket cause i have seen so many different way to do it? I'm using a mk2 alternator with the afh pulley on it.. going to notch the one mount thats it... whats your way of doing it??

cool man, i bought the conversion off my friends cousin (mugz dubz from bolton) he did the alternator pulley change so i cant shed any light on that sorry but i have seen it in some one elses thread.. i am running cbr 600 carbs which have been correctly jetted etc.. it was all running in his car and it flew so i cant wait to tart the engine up and get it in mine :)...

I still have so many questions that need answering...

1. will a 4 speed ARB clear the 5 speed coupe s box?

2. will i need bigger fuel lines from the standard 1.1 ones?

3. will my standard top fill rad cope?

4. currently my car only has one oil sensor so will i need too run the t piece with an extra sensor (if i get coupe s clocks)?

people seem to say no, and fit the 5-speed ARB as there seems to be an issue with it rubbing on the gearbox.
