Ah, don't know Barry so well. But I know that road like the back of my hand - used to go over the mountain to see my g/f (now wife) on the way home from Glamorgan Uni. Or go the other way from hers to the Showcase Cinema on the other side of the A4069.

Diversion! Sorry...

engine now turns over,

not a lot lift to do now:

1. finishing wiring fuel pump in.

2. tighten driveshafts.

3. ARB mounting.

4. fuel pump mounting and plumbing.

5. timing.

6. cables.

7. gear linkage.

not to much :p

loving this build so far! I'm kinda local and in the middle of an AFH on EFI myself. Can i ask what sort of rates you aoid for the polishing work?

i got all the polishing done by a guy called paul and caerphilly metal polishers, was about £60 all in, which in my opinion is pretty damn good :)...

have you spoken to cymro on here, he is closer to you again and knows alot when it comes to bike carbing cars :)

sweet ill have to look them up. I'm not going to be using carb dude, I'm using the standard electronic fuel injection.

mk2 with mk4 pulley eyyy, i'm in the middle of changing mine to this set up...

which bracket did you use or did you have to make one?

also, did you just put the pulley straight on? or did you cut any off it?

i bought the mk2 alt with the mk4 pulley already on it, I'm going to use the mk2 mount but make up a backing plate to put the other bolts in :)

Cut the extra spacer part off. Also u need to put a groove in it to suit the mk2 alt. Then use the same sorta spacers ect as normal. Mine is aligned perfetly now :)

Okay.. Just the spacer or the 5mm of shaft between it and the pulley?

I'm doing it right now lol.

I've filed the groove so it sits on the woodruff key.

What bracket though?
