This car has no tax or test and therefore I'm selling as spares or repairs (may even break if I get interest), I'm asking for the price I could get for the engine and coilovers and you get the rest of the car free.

The general condition of the body work is rough but solid, it has some scratches and dents (worst one under the rear light), the front arches have been cut away behind the arch trims to stop them catching on the tires, but they were rusting any way. One of the headlights has got a crack in the glass and the grill is zip tied on due to the clips being broken.

The engine is a 1.6 td, it's the second td i've had in this car and has probably done less than 800 miles in this car and never missed a beat once, it's been messed about with some what with a 3" straight through exhaust, boost and fueling wound up and it goes pretty well. Cam belt, tensioner, clutch and oil ect were all done when engine was fitted and the diesel pump was rebuilt at bocsh by the last owner. It's been parked up since the tax ran out at the end of December but still fires up first time even after a few months of rest

It's got fk coilovers fitted to the front but the rears didn't go as low as I wanted so i've fitted some cheapo coilies to the rear, the rear fks are included tho. Front breaks are 256mm vented with groves and drilled discs.

Interior is rough, it was my work horse for about 3 years and this shows. The front seats don't match the rears as there was some thing broke in the old drivers seat that poked into my back while driving so it had to go. The heater fan stopped working and I can't remember if I replaced it or not but i'll check the next time I get a chance to get to the car. The rev counter is from a diesel but bodged into some petrol clocks, it has stopped working but I have a little black box thing that converts the signal from a diesel engine in to a current that petrol rev counters can read which I never got round to fitting but will come with the car (just need to add your own petrol rev counter clocks). There is also a boost gauge fitted.

Wheels are 16" venom look-a-likes with dish, this sounds pretty bad but they don't look all that bad and suit the car imo, the tires all have good tread but have some cracks in them and one has a slow puncture.

There is probably stuff that i've forgotten both good and bad, but if I remember any thing i'll add it. This was my daily driver for nearly 3 years until the end of Dec when it ran out of tax and test and got parked up, it was a great little runner and went pretty well for a diesel but with 3 other car's all needing time ( and more importantly money) throwing at them some thing has to give and unfortunately it's the trusty jetta :-[

There are also a load of bits that can come with it if the asking price is met, better condition arch trim set, jetta front end (minus one headlight glass), twin fan rad, boost controller, gti fog lights, spare turbo, pretty much every thing I have in terms of golf/jetta spares. there's also some 16v 6n polo front seats that can come with it that will fit with slight adjustment to the rear runners which are much better to sit in that the pov spec fronts currently in it.

i'd much rather sell this car whole but if there is no interest I may break, but as rough as it looks it's far past saving and has served me very well.

Also, I like the brutal honesty of this advert, made good reading whilst fending off drunken idiots at work :)

Yes mate still a 1.3 on the log book and I'm in camphill

Just to add we had to rob the radiator off this at the weekend after my mates exploded on him, I've got a big slimline twin fan rad from a seat Toledo TD that i'll be fitting to it tomorrow tho

Salty, no point in lying about this car, its gonna be pretty clear when some one comes to view it that its no miner

been and fitted the new rad today and got some better photo's, and tbh i think i've been a little harsh on the old girl in my description but if you come expecting the worse and it turns out to be a bit better then every one's happy...

having a little play with it again has rekindled my love for it a bit so if it don't sell then so be it, i'll be keeping her and tuning the living shit out of it for a little winter project.
