I have had this beast 4 years now and it has done me well ( most of the time)

When i brought her, she was in a sorry state, needing alot of work to get her back on the road. I have done all the work my self and it is now on the road with MOT and tax.

Ill roll off a list of what I've done so you can get an idea of the condition and spec.

Engine. 1300

Full engine rebuild 3000 miles ago including,

Head ported and polished

New bottom end bearings ect

New Weber carb and K&N filter

Oil filter

Waterpump

Cambelt

Fan belt

Battery

Head, inlet and exhaust gaskets

Rad hoses

Rotor arm and points

New N/S driveshaft

4 Branch exhaust manifold

Up rated headlight loom, run off the battery with New xenon headlight bulbs

New gear selector bushes

Bosch alternator and starter motor

Chassis.

Calipers, pads, discs all under 500miles

Rear drum pads, under 500 miles

Hot-tuning adjustable coilover suspension

New wishbone and rear axel bushes

Wheel bearings under 500 miles

Flexi hoses under 500miles

ATS classics 13 x 6J

Wheel spacers all round

Gti ARB fitted

Lower strut brace ( homemade not fitted )

OMP upper strut brace ( not fitted )

4 New tyres under 300miles

New steering rack bushes

Body.

New windscreen ( cracked the old one taking it out )

New front wings

New boot rubber

Rear arches done

Inner and outer sills done

Arches and sills all undersealed

New de badged grille

New wing mirrors

De badged tailgate

DIY re-spray in matte black :-)

De-bumpered but will come with them

Pretty much rust free for a 28 year old car

The exhaust does have a blow in it. I've tryed making my own center section, but to be honest, its crap. So this would need sorting out.

I've just noticed that the exhaust has a slight blow in the mid section. Nothing that couldnt be welded up and its not too bad tbh.

Theres alot i cant remember, but i know I've spent alot of time on money on this.

I need the cash for my other project so this has to go.

I'm asking 1250 or make me an offer!

I'm down in Norfolk if anyone wants to come have a look.

Think its just the grill that isnt on properly, it does stick out a bit at the bottom. And yeah I'm open to offers on the price.

Here's a pic of it from a few months ago. It now has the red stripe around the front and rear bumpers like the Anniversary models should

was it just mot-pass worthy, or a proper resto repair work?

was anything done to the floor?

is the paint primer, or is it a top coat?

I have a Polo G40 and am possibly interested, but I would want detailed photos, or pictures, as although I have travelled your way to buy a Mk1 Golf before, it was near fully restored.

Yeah i can get loads of pictures for you mate. Basically, I've done everything to make it as solid as possible. None of the stuff was MOT advisory, as it was off the road when i brought her, so have done every bit of rust i could find

The floors inside, had the sills repaired, covered in seam sealer and re painted at the front with under-seal, with new sound proofing in.

The paint has had primer under most of it, but the matt black is a top coat, not primer. The water runs of it rather well i think. But bear in mind, i did do it my self, and its not perfect mate :-D

Its a nice car, and really good fun to drive, but bits and bobs still need doing to make her perfect. The interior is a bit shabby, and the drives seat is taped up and its full of holes. Ill grab you some more pictures this afternoon, while the sun is still shining :-D
