Right then, today was that time of the year again - time for the great VW show at Stanford Hall! My favourite one dayer of the year, and the weather was WAY better than the last couple of years! I have sunburnt chops despite liberal use of suncream.

I decided to take it easy on the pics this time, usually I rip through a show with the camera in full Gatling mode, get hundreds of pics and end up not seeing anything myself. Decided to take more time to look with my own eyes rather than with a lens this time around, hence why I limited pics to the show itself and didn't do my usual car park sweep. It worked, I got to see more although I do wonder about what I missed!

Stanford is of course famed for the vintage VW display outside the stately home itself. Supposed to be stock, so I imagine this raised a few flatcaps:

After the show began to close, I noticed the CP stand (which was next to ours) was practically empty, with just the Derby and the Mk2 loon still there after everyone else had left. Since nobody was about, I sneakily scuttled across for a quick "Saloons through the ages" snap!

Liking the cheeky shots of the three saloons, I can't believe the state our cars were in at the end of the day. Couldn't see out of the windscreen, it was that dusty. Some great pics there, thanks for posting them up.

i was quite glad of it tbh, it made it look more like my car had got like that from being parked there like all the others

Was a great show, can't believe I stayed 'til the bitter end. It took ages to get to the motorway as well. Didn't get home 'til gone 8oclock! Very glad of a day off today. A scirocco right in front of me started billowing out clouds of coolant as it overheated. The polo kept going but for some reason the outside temperature gauge read 93 degrees! I think I may need to replace it.
