Hi, I dont know if I'm in the right section but here it goes!

My boyfriend just bought a MK3 Golf GTI 2.0l 8v... He managed to insure it, on his dads policy with him as a named driver, for 2500 until now because we recently found out they mucked something up and its gone up 2 like 4 grand which is not able to be payed by him...

Soo, been looking for car insurance for it and there isnt anything under like 3500!

We have tried everything!

So, the only option is to sell it right?

Been looking to buy something else, but even a 1.2 bloody NOVA (yes i even tried that to see what it would be haha) is £2300 a year!

Anyone know any cheap insurance??? Like anything under 2000 is cheap to us!

Btw... he is 20 years old been driving for a year but hasnt got any no claims bonus as he hasnt had a policy in his name as he has never been able to insure anything cheap.
