i have been trying to get fog lights for my 6n and they are quite hard to find. however the 6n2 ones seem to be easier to get.

Will the 6n2 fog lights work on a 6n. I no that the grill wont work but i can cut my one up to make them fit. but will it be easy to wire them up? i want them to be on just when my other lights are on so could i just splice them into the main headlight wiring?

There's a guide to fitting fog lights in the FAQ's in this section, basically you only need to add two bits of wiring, one from the big disconnect connector by the radiator too the fog lights a supply and a ground and a single wire from the headlight switch to the back of the relay/fusebox, and you will need a new headlight switch that has both front & rear fog light positions.

If you bodge wire the fogs so they come on with the headlights you will risk a tug from the plod and a certain MOT fail!!

Like Nige said you will need the loom and switch...you might not need to run a wire into the fusebox depending on the year of your polo. Can be checked by seeing if there is a wire in slot "13" on the plug going into the back of the headlight switch :)
