Well, as some as you know i left the polo world and sold my GTi after 2 years ownership to a lad on here in december last year if i recall correctly.

I'd been wanting a change for a while but unsettled on what car i wanted. I took the plunge and originally went for a 20vt TT. Was partly modded already sporting 264bhp and a few descreet mods. The car wasnt perfect plenty of niggles. Then one dark night on a road i didnt know a wet twisty bend got pretty messy and i rolled the TT onto its side. Lucky to escape and pretty shaken up. Was nothing i could do, the car was a write off so i had to bin my 4 years no claims and get the insurance involved. They paid out without a fight and now the search was on for a new motor. I'd just started to like the TT even with its niggles but i set out to do what i should have done in the first place. So one evening after work i set out on a short trip to huddersflield to view a 3.2 TT. You know pretty much straight away through gut feeling that its the car for you. I went out init and was immediatley sold by the noise, pace and torque.

So late march this year (2011) I became the owner of my second TT. Just from driving home the car was a completley different breed to the 20vt. I feared the no boost factor might annoy me but after hearing the revs creep from 2k to 6k a turbo was a thing of the past!

It puts a smile on my face daily. The V6 bubbling away in the background. Always there even when driving slowly through town. Its mpg isnt that fantastic but who cares. You only get one shot at life on this planet so live it to the max i say!

The car looks great from the factory. But I've got that itch to modify already. I added the BMC air filter. Touch more performance but making the most of the engine noise . I've recently priced up a Milltek Cat back non resonated exhaust. Purchased a set of new wheels (pics when refurbed) and deciding on my coilover choice. I had FK silverline X coilovers on the polo GTi and i think i'm going down the same route with this. No cheap crap bolting onto this!

Was never really a fan of TTs, but lately I've started to come around, fair play for getting the good one too, 3.2 and quattro must be a blast, would definitely love a go in one. Can only imagine this is as fun as the golf but sportier, it must bea hoot. Really can't get enough of that v6 sound once you've heard it can you? :)

Haha yeah cheers fella. I used to dislike the TT too but yeah as you said. I think there getting better with age. The shape and style more desirable maybe.

My granddads got the 1.8t quattro, i really like them. Rear seats non exsistent, though, its just a giant parcel shelf with seatbelts. Any vids up of the v6 drone?

yeah rear seats are pretty shocking tbh. You can fit people in back if really despirate but its tight.

Just a dumping place for stuff though!

I can easy get mountain bike in though. So that will do me!

Love it much prefer the old shape tt. Love the rims too really set it off. How does it do on fuel being the 3.2

LM's did my head in dude. They were only reps and the quality was shocking and being staggered widths they killed the 4wd system!

Monoblocks are something different to try. So we'll see how they go.

Fuel, well its not great tbh lol. Urban 20-24mpg.

What's it like with the BMC? In terms of sound and performance? I'm running a K&N panel but ever so tempted to get a typhoon or something like a BMC

Sounds amazing dude, Proper loud resonating noise. Vibrates the road if your stood near it

Performance, hard to say really cos the standard airbox is pretty damn good. I'm yet to get the cold air intake fitted and plummed in where the OEM one is so that probably isnt doing it any favours.

With it being carbon fibre. Has a good effect on keeping the heat down. Does suffer from heat soak as it gets bloody hot in there!

That's the only problem I've got atm, there is just not enough induction noise!

On the golfs you can fit the cold air intake from a DSG .:R must be near twice the bore size, uk-mkivs lads claim it can give as much as 5% on it's own, no idea how similar the TT 'bay is though

Even the DIY kits are a pretty penny

Oh yeah? Well the OEM CAI tucks down the passenger wing towards the wheel arch where theres these louvre (sp) thingys that let the air in, so standard theyve tried there best to make the intake as far from the engine as possible.

Theres no room in the bay at all.

Got inside the spokes to paint now. Happy i got all the imperfections out of them when i first started. Polishing is hard work!
