I downloaded series one of that reasonably new show call The Walking Dead and really enjoying it. However I've found that the sound keeps going out of sync with the picture.

I've done a google search and read the iTunes help page on the issue but I don't really understand it and it seems a bit general for a number of different symptoms.

Does anyone know how to cure this problem and can explain how simply?

try using windows media player instead of itunes to watch it.. maybe its just shitty itunes playing up.. (like usual)

Media Player Classic or VLC are good for this - both have audio/video sync preferences so you can make it watchable.

Sounds good but how do I open it with media player? I guess by finding the file in my folders but don't know where iTunes downloaded videos go. Any ideas?

Edit: Found the files but Windows Media Player wont play it because it's the wrong format so I'll try downloading Media Player Classic and/or VLC.

avoid media player like the plague. its complete balls. i use vlc across all of my machines (windows, mac and linux) and iv never come across something it cant play. its fantastic and best of all, its toally free from videolan. go to www.videolan.org/ to get it for free.

itl even play incomplete and damaged files. if vlc cant play it, the file is totally knackered or has the wrong extension

You might find even using VLC that the audio goes out of synch, unfortunately its just the uploader doing a bit of sloppy work and not checking all of the files fully, usually itll happen where the adverts have been cut out or where theres a break in the show and the next scene starts out of synch. You can use VLC to adjust this but then when or if it synchs back to as it should your VLC settings will have it out of synch.

Media player classic isn't windows media player though.

Can you get mplayer for windows? I use it in linux and it succeeds where many fail.

I always use DIVX player works with all formats

Where'd you download it from? I'm well hooked on the walking dead!

downlaod the divX video codec then get windows media player classic and play it on that.

basically your flux capacitor has over heated the philopian tubes. Causing pain. Mass pain to your CPU

Shit thats all integrated with the ionic stabilizer! My whole system could implode!

And Dirt Monkey I downloaded it on iTunes, so you'd think it would actually play well! I payed 13 squids but was too keen to watch it to care! It's so good!

How do you work VLC? I downloaded it all fine, opened the video file I wanted to watch and it started playing but no sound or picture, just the VLC symbol in the middle (A traffic cone, not that it matters)
