Refurb advice

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

I've been buying wheels. Specifically some Audi fake splits and some Teledials

I was wondering how is best to go about refurbishing them.

I can get better photos tomorrow afternoon if necessary, I only have these for now

My main concern with the Audi wheels is the rim. Does anyone know if the bolts come out at all? The lacquer is peeling and it gives the impression that they were put in after the lacquering which I guess would mean they can come out but haven't had a chance to try.

On the Teledials, the inside barrel of all the wheels are badly corroded, all/most of the original paint has flaked off and I'm left with a weathered white surface. Should I just rub this back to the alloy and start fresh?

All help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tom
