Fucking awsome!

so over the weekend my steering starts going crazy. when i accelerate my car decides to steer into traffic coming in the opposite direction lol. so got some new arms but realised i need new arb arm bushes :(7

so loads of little things got done today

new expansion tank fitted

my window was being closed with a screw driver jammed between the window and door lol so i got a new reg. heres my old one lol

got some rear pannel carpet out of a mk3

with a little trimming

some more items to add to my porsche list

had a spare head lying about so i tried port and polishing

day 1 - 4 hours

day 2 - 12 hours

day 3 - 4 hours

i think iv gone abit to much on the camber lol

MOT time!!

so i was on my way to check the car over in the unit and the throttle cable snapped. ghetto stylez had to be done

had to take the crazy camber off. so a few things needed doing.

box of goodies, handbrake cables, rear bearings etc

old shoes were fudged lol

all new shoes and fittings

shocking!!!!

new bushes, thanks pete @ ppp

new T/R/E

New brake lines front and back

rear goodridges finally fitted

and remember kids, safety first!!

bought some mk1 polo bumbers off grungeisdead in all types. the back one was mangled but went to town with a hammer

luckily with a bit of messing around i was able to use the mk2 bumper brackets

test fit

wasnt too sure about the chrome

decided to paint them black to go with the rest of the car

then made some L brackets for the number plate

now all i need is some end caps :)

i have been thinking about it for ages. just there so hard to come by. was going to try make mk1 golf ones fit but then grabbed a bargain in alltypes :) well chuffed

yeah no worries man :) i just happened to be lucky i think

so my throttle cable has snapped and thats the second one to go. had ment to do my thrown together throttle ages ago but just been lazy lol

i drilled a hole above the original hole and chopped a bit off an old throttle cable that i found lying about. the bike cable fitted in nicely and my throttle is so light :)

on mine my throttle cable kept messing up too, i drilled a hole by the battery tray and drilled a hole half way up my throttle pedal, meant i got full pedal travel and my throttle was nice and smooth :)

i drilled a hole in the throttle pedal inline with the standard hole to give the straightest line and then used some bmx slick cable and some v brake pipes on either end so the outer cable doesnt even have to bend! feels smooth as butter :)

yeah man, didnt realize how much difference it would make attaching the sleeve to the bulk head

so the gt engine has been leaking oil from everywhere so this weekend i decided to re-do all the gaskets

a head and conversion set n loads of goodies :)

my starter started playing up so got it re-con'd

the block deffo needed a clean

valves been cut

valve seats been cut

head having a skim

having a good clean

sump off

new crank seal

sump gasket

block all nice n clean

head put back together, clean and sprayed

rocker cover cleaned and sprayed

decided to be creative lol

manifold all clean, head is on, nearly there!

so theres been a few weeks gone by and iv done a few things

first of all my car made it into pvw :)

having looked at my diy maniffold i noticed that the flanges to my head were horrible and didnt match the head at all and a new inlet had to be made

vacuum hose

boom!! decided to make the pipes longer this time for torque
