Add your mum? puts it down quite a bit being female! Try crowthorne insurance, they were good for me when i was 17/18

If the car is over 15 years old, footman james is pretty good.

I pay £2200 for my 1.0 6n polo best i could get

Admiral, I pay £1193 with coilovers and alloys declared on my 1.0 Polo.

I'm 18 with 1 years ncb, pass pluss and my mum as a named driver.

I'm with chris knott and pay £1400 on me 1.4 16v 6n2 (the 100HP variety)

who did he get quoted 2300 with ? I'm struggling to get insurned for under 3000 on a 1.2 9n

I pay £2100 for a 1.4 and its all standard :/

How come loads of people on here are 18 and have 0 ncb and get insurance for under £2400, my lowest quote is like £3250 :o That's with endsleigh and the comparison sites are more

its always worth adding as many highly experiencned driver as you can. i had a quote from elephant on confused which was about 1,500 on a 1.4 6n cl, added parents (50 years XP between them) = £600... Happy :-)

a polo coupe s is insurance group 6, well mine is anyway so its gonna be more expensive than your average corsa/saxo

Same, went with admiral for the first year and added my parents and my sister, got a pretty decent amount off for that

For the best quote go to tiger.co.uk, I've just got my quote with them, there for young drivers and they compare different companies! Mines come to 1600 with both parents on on a 1.0l!

You need to be aged between 25 and 74... :/

I got quoted on my 6n by tesco for £2500. Added my mum and came down to £1400.. Try tesco.. They aren't the best but it gets you on the road.

Sorry to ruin the thread but there is no way that you can compare insurance prices between people.

The car makes a big difference but they will take in all sorts of other stuff:

How good the area is

How many of those types of cars have been crashed in that area recently

How many have been stolen

How many miles a year you do

Value you put on the car

How long you have lived at that address

How long you have owned the car

etc etc etc

Just because your mate has a better price, doesnt mean you should get it.

And it works the other way, you may manage to get a better price than them too!

I pay £3200 for a 1.4 6N standard! Tis a cruel world :(

fuck that!! id rather walk and wait till i was older :o i paid 1200 for my 1.4 8v when i was 20, not I'm 21 and still have no ncb and I'm gettin insured on a valver with coilies for 1100

try confused.com and reqoute with 2 experianced name drivers, they seem best. also admiral is cheapest for everyone atm it seems so try them too

I'm 18 and have declared lowering springs and alloys on my 1.0 6n2

a quote i got on my own was £3450 a year fully comp

once my mum was the registerd owner of the car and i was a named driver the insurence fell down to £990

but obviously this way you dont get the n/c each year.. but untill you have been driving for a while and gthis new law has gone through insurence is going to be sky high!
