Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Here I have my 1998 T reg 3 Dr Polo Valver in Dragon Green for sale, just 52,000 miles! 100BHP

Well looked after mechanically, but I simply can't afford to sort gearbox! Gearbox code is: CWX

Car still runs and drives OK, but gearbox will need replacing soon.

The pics aren't great due to sunlight, if you want more, please let me know!

Good Points:

- Cam belt has recently been changed along with waterpump with upgraded metal impaller

- Recent service (interim service oil + filter)

- Low mileage just 52,000 miles! One of the lowest mileage valvers for sale

- Good MOT (Feb '12)

- Tax until end of May

- Recent clutch replacement

- Just replaced exhaust with OEM system

- Good solid service history mostly VAG or VAG specialist

- Engine in perfect working order

- NO rust

Extras:

Lowered on PhilJ coilovers (currently down about 40-50mm)

Sunroof (is this an extra!?)

AIR-CON (Apparently a big must have on valvers?)

Bad Points:

- No central locking (needs new CL pump)

- Radio not working (needs replacing

- Wheel arch damage (there's a small dent on the driver side rear wheel arch. Can be pulled)

- Large but light scuffs to corner of bumpers (put there by dopey prev. owners! doh!)

- Gearbox is on it's way out. Gears R, 1, 2 not really affected, however 3 - 5 are whirring pretty bad. The gearbox still changes gear smoothly and feels fine. Just whirring.

- Only one key (prev. owners lost it, therefore it was never passed on)

- Passenger side electric window not working. Motor still live, (can hear it) just not winding down? Apparently small fix.

Price:

£1100 w/ standard valver rims

£1300 w/ Lenso rims (16x7 front + rear) (195/40/16 Toyo Proxies all round)

Location:

Based in Birmingham
