Featured Replies

Here is my 1.4 Polo 6n SE. I've had the car for about 3 weeks. Mods so far are:

 - debadged grill with SE badge

 - lowered 120mm on coilovers

 - 7x13 banded steelies with 165/55s

 - pressed plates with Wolfsburg surrounds

 - shark fin aerial

 - Pioneer 6x9s

 - Pioneer coaxials in the dash

 - Fli Trap 12" sub

 - JBL GTO 600 amp powering sub and 6x9s

 - Sony Xplod head unit

 - Black headlining

 - tinted side repeaters

 - debadged tailgate

 - bump strips removed

Future plans are:

 - aero wipers

 - Mk3 Golf leather interior

 - Pioneer door speakers

 - slightly darker tint on the windows

 - Mk3 Golf GTI front spoiler

 - tinted headlights and indicators

This is what it looked like the day after I got it:

have you relocated the heaters and window swtiches?

Window switches are cut into the centre console above the gear lever. Actually fall alot easier to hand there. Head unit in a pod in the glovebox as I don't really need to touch it that often. Have lost the heater on dash but I reckon 2 each side and the ones on top of the dash will be plenty lol

BIG UPDATE TIME. The eagle eyed may notice the plates have changed. I moved every body panel including bumpers, interior etc to a new shell as I damaged the gearbox on the SE and picked up a mechanically sound Polo for good money with lower miles, new wishbones and a full new exhaust with full VW service history.

Since my last update, it has a leather interior, all pillars, door panels and headlining re-trimmed in leopard print, aero wipers, Renault Laguna front spoiler, Rota Zero wheels, tinted headlights and a nearly finished boot build housing 2 Pioneer 6x9s and 2 10" Pioneer subs. The Doors now have 6.5" Pioneer 3-Way Coaxials and the dash has 2-Way Pioneer Coaxials.

Next plans are to get the boot build finished and hopefully a full respray in the same colour before Christmas. I will smooth the front plate recess, the seams under the rear lights, tow eye cut-out, side repeaters and jacking point marks on sills.

Interior looks mad lol.

The Rota's are the 7's aren't they?

  • Author

Yeah its mental in there lol. Yeah they're the 7s. Do your 8s have alot more dish? I can't really tell from the pics

Yeah I think they do have quite a bit more, they have 3.5" dishes lol.

How come you didn't get a staggered set with 8's on the back?

I should have done really. I was going to but the bloke on the phone said there wasn't much difference.

not a bad looking car tbh, need to sort the ride height out to get down on those rotas and love the ipad conversion =D

ipad is a sick idear :) what are the seats out of looks good

Ipad is boss 8-)

that interior is sick, could you please do me a quick guide on how to do the doorcards like fabrics and glue/adhesive please? and pm me it or post it on here?

cheers alex

Cheers guys. Seats are out of a Renault Megane. For the door cards, carefully peel back the black 'leather' look material from the fabric with a craft knife. Then pull the fabric off the door cards. Its stuck on quite well lol. Then draw round the fabric onto whatever fabric you want to use amd cut out. The best glue I found is wood glue as it is just an extra strong PVA and works really well on the headlining and door cards. When you have stuck the fabric down, superglue the leathery stuff over the edge of the fabric. Job done!

i thought about doing that with my ipad in my 6n2, what did you do to make the casing did you use like a holder and make it fit or make it from scratch?

Winter wheels are now on :( My girlfriend had brand new tyres on her MK2 steelies so the Rotas are wrapped up and put away for the winter. When I changed the subframe it put my tracking out again so killed off my new front tyres  ..... so I saw them out in style :D
