Looks cool - however, please put your plate back in the correct place, looks really silly having a recess and a plate elsewhere. Seats are a very good touch! Not sure on the leopard print though, maybe a little too much of it..

Your gf's car is amazing! ;)

Merc rims are madness mate . Bump nice car . Dave

loving your birds mk2! but loving this way more! i want some rota zero's so bad!

hey mate did the merc trims just clip straight onto 14'' steels dude?

looks pretty good on the trims mate

Is it just me or does the rear quarter look a lot darker than the rest of the car in that last picture?

nope, your right! kinda hard to notice at first but the more i looked at it the more i can see that it is!

Not noticed my thread had popped back up! Cheers for the positive response people. Megane front seats were welded to the original polo subframes but the back ones fit in with a bit of persuasion. Paint on the car isn't all that and panels don't match as I put doors from another car on which were in better nick and had leccy window motors in. Trims are cable tied to 13" steels but do clip on to most 14" steels. I was up at the Ace for the stance works meet with a lowrider bike on the roof so you may have seen it!

Car is going in for paint on Friday and getting some smoothing done.

Keeping with the gloss black but smoothing boot handle, roof aerial, side repeaters, jacking point triangles, sill joins, petrol flap finger hole, seams under rear lights, washer jets, front and rear tow eye cut outs and a few other bits.

Already smoothed the front plate recess.

Grill, door handles and mirror plates will be colour coded gloss black.

Will update with progress on the respray next week.

Been returning the Rotas over the winter as the laquer on them was shocking. It got tiny stone chips and blistered badly so stripped all the laquer off and mirror polished them. Look alot smarter now so they will be back on after the respray. Thinking of dropping the front a touch too but want to keep the helper springs and the cookies are wound the whole way down so may have to look into shorter top mounts unless anyone has any ideas?

Talk about an essay lol that's all for now 8-)

 so how many mm is it lowered on the front?

"120mm" drop coilovers wound all the way down. Helpers still in.

Had a bit of an argument with a wall a few weeks ago so got a new one ready for the respray. Ended up doing this for sh*ts and giggles

Have a really short deadline to get this car into paint. The car has to be out of the workshop by Friday 9th March so spent this morning stripping the car down.

Wheels are nearly finished now and have come up really well. They have a better finish on them than when they were new. Couldnt believe how quicly the laquer started blistering.

Building a VIP Garson table for the front as the car will be heading more towards the VIP style. Never seen a VIPd' VW, so this may be the first VIP look Polo. Complicated to explain how the finished product will look so you will just have to watch how it progresses!

Here is some of the Garson tables that inspired me.

Shouldn't think mine will be anywhere near as spectacular but here is the basic idea mocked up. Obviously a lot more work needed! Making a few changes to the upper level.

For more VIP goodness, picked up this pretty rare 6n wood wheel

Been looking through some Junction produce VIP bits but its all pretty expensive. Chrome interior door handles are on the cards too.

That's all for now 8-)

Thought about doing junction produce curtains in the rear side windows. What do you reckon?

I love this! Are you going to UD?

Table idea is awesome! :)

Will be at ultimate dubs but having my doubts whether my car will be :(
