Drilling fuel tank. anda few buckets.

Go to a DIY store buy a drill powered pump for £5 and two lengths of piping, one from tank to the pump. The other from the pump to a jerry can.

Niiiiiiice

Unless I'm wrong you can get pipes down the fuel filler pipe right? If so, best way, without a pump, would be to siphon it I'd think..?

Get the car higher than the container you're putting the petrol in, suck on the pipe 'til you see the petrol coming through the pipe (if you've got a see through pipe obvs), get your mouth off and get the pipe down so it siphons out. Obviously make sure the end of the pipe in the tank is at the bottom obviously.

Anyone feel free if I've got any aspect of this method wrong I haven't ever done it on a car.

Edit: or do what Monkey Man said....

Easiest way is probably stab it with a screwdriver, let it drain out into a tub

I'm of course presuming that the car has to be in a saleable condition after?

I'm fairly sure a lot of newer cars have anti siphon stuff? or is that something i need to patent and make millions off?

yes iv only ever worked on VW`s, but you cant get a pipe down the fill tank, the proper way is to lift the back seats and take the lift pump out and syphon it from there.

Or if you have some time on your hands and some patience, disconnect the feed pipe from the filter, put it in a container, and fflick the ignition on and off so the pump primes and fills your container of put a perm live to it.

yes it needs to be saleable as its going to arnold clark as a px and its a 1999 206 1.1

remove the pipe going into the fuel filter? and just keep priming the pump by turning the ignition.

on arnold clarks forecourt, once she has driven it there?

:paranoid:

lift up the rear seat base and take the fuel pump ou t and syphon it out that way easyst way to do it

i was once on breakdown late one night with my dad a WOMAN had filled a diesel jag s type with perrol, for whatever reason we had no way other than through the filler hole. she needed the car the next day and with a broken hand pump we had almost gave up but with desperation we used a window washer pump from an old sierra it took about two hours because we had to keep tp stooping because of the motor over heating. but it was worth it chrarging and hourly rate and a free tank of diesel.

piece of hose pipe, make a loop above the fuel cap, stick the pipe in, suck until it comes to the mouth of the tube, let petrol flow out. Easy, cheap, plus you get to taste petrol a bit.

To be honest that's the thing I'm avoiding if I can

you can buy a little hand pump to syphon it out if you dont want a taste for petrol....

I was in my Metro in the early 90s,we were all stoned, and i filled it with diesel. We pushed it onto the wood chip boarder around the staff car park and tipped it on its side. Once empty,i put petrol in it and we went and did some 'shrooms.

No panel damage and fluids survived,i was surprised it was fine. But i was freaked out later that evening when i noticed smiley cuts in my finger pads from the wheel arches.

True story. Black Metro. '93. Tesco Wolverton.

Wouldent the diesal that you had just drained out still have petrol in tho ? So effectly all you had done is empty her tank fill your & then her problem became yours ? running a LITTLE bit of petrol in a diesal is alright a lot of taxi drivers usued to do years ago in winter to help stop the tanks freezing up & aid starting up from cold . Running a big amount of petrol & diesal is a sure way to shag your engine

nope not in solid reliadble 2.4d toyata hiace they go forever mate it did 256,000 when my dad sold it he still services now for one of his customers.

some small trucking companies run kerosene with diesel and its quite a while before they get probs.

tbf would you throw out probly £60-70 worth of fuel?

(it did run two bottom end bearings )
