Hey, my name Daz and I've recently purchased a flash red 6n2 gti :-D I live in North Wales and owned a 1989 Golf Gti 16v before this.

Model:VW Polo Gti

Engine:1.6 16V in standard form at the moment

Suspension:FK Konigsport height and dampening adjustable Coilovers

Brakes:Standard

Wheels and Tyres:Compomotive TH Mono's 15x7 with 165/50 Nankang NS2's upfront with 15x8 with 195/45 Toyo Proxes on the rear

Exterior Styling:Polo and GTi badges removed from the rear,Carbon Wrapped front and rear VW badges,Pressed metal plates, rear wiper removed.

Interior Styling:Standard

ICE and Security:Kenwood Headunit, standard front and rear speakers and tweeters,300w Pioneer amp and a 12" Twin voice coil Alpine sub, with a Vibe Fast plug so that it can be disconnected and lifted out as i often need 2 use the boot space.

Comments: The cars covered 113k miles and is stil on the oringinal clutch and gearbox  I have owned it about a month now and loved every minute so far!!I have had the cambelt and tensioners changed,a new radiator, changed the plugs and leads, new oil and filter and have ordered a BMC CDA for it,repainted the brake calipers and fitted my headunit and sub.Future plans include a custom stainless cat back hidden exhaust,re map, front bumper respray as there is a small amount of lacquer peel and possibly some new seats.

That's all for now i think,here's a few pics

the car is running about 10mm higher all round than this at the moment

haven't updated this for along ages

not much been going on really!just been enjoying driving it!

I've replaced the aluminium cold air feed with some 70mm ducting i got from demon tweeks.Doesn't look as good but it sounds soooo much better. Also i have painted the rocker cover red,and the manifold heatsheild black. The heatsheild has started to flake off though :-( even tho i used VHT paint,so I'm thinking about doing it the same red as the rocker cover

cheers for the kind comments guys, much appreciated :-D

Looks nice mate! You thinking on doing something with the black wheels? Maybe some colour coding with indicators or front and rear lights? Would looks sick with some smoked lights on it

What else you thinking on doing to it?

and

Where did you get those carbon trims for the front and rear badge?

Cheers mate!I'm planning on getting some real carbon mirrors and possibly a black roof to compliment the black wheels.prefer the standard lights personally though.

future plans are some ibiza cupra half leathers, cat back stainless exhaust but first of all some new front tyres lol

i just bought a sheet of 3m vinyl off ebay and wrapped the badges myself, bit fiddley but i just took my time and used loads of heat to make the vinyl more plyable

Ah nice mate, yeah have to admit the standard lights do look a lot better. Been thinking about smoked and standard recently and standard looks a lot smarter..

haven't updated this in a while.Recently I've had the camber, tracking and 4 wheel alignment sorted.I'm now running 0.5 degrees negative on the front and 1.5 degrees on the rear.I've also fitted an areial off a new polo, and a new exhaust clamp which has sorted the blow for now

I've also been having a few issuses with my sub cutting out.i traced the wires and couldnt find any problems but tidyed them up anyway. The problem carried on so i have now replaced the amp with a 1600w Sony one. This has sorted the problem and improved the sound alot.I've also fitted some infinty components in the doors and have infinity tweeters to go in aswel but I've damaged the sciatic nerve in my back so they will have to wait for now!

Well the polo failed its MOT today but was nothing major!

The two inner anti roll bar brackets are bent from when the car has grounded out at some point and discs and pads are low.

So i took a trip to demon tweeks and came home with these :D

EBC grooved and dimpled discs and EBC greenstuff pads

And i got these from VW

New Anti roll bar brackets and bushes

Normally i would fit these myself but as i've done my back in my friends garage that did the MOT are going to fit them when they retest the car for a reasonable price,so this means there will be no pics of them fitted lol .Its booked in for tuesday :D
