Never made a thread for this , brought a camera the other day and took a few pics to test it out (I'm in no way a photogropher)

Only for my 16v and old 8v so i thought i would chuck some pictures up

Its nothing special , I loaned the money from parents although there not bothered about getting the money back but I'm paying them every penny + a pressie before this gets dropped and dished!

Once its paied off i have big plans on it, only thing its got raelly is a HID kit and upgraded bulbs , leds here and there

At the moment its about 130bhp with a fair ammount of tourqe

After the car is paied off , my baby has everything it needs , work will then start on this!

The PD130 must be a right pocket rocket in a lil polo! Get it mapped mate!

Its a chipped PD100 , i shouldnt really say its 130. the chip i got apaprently was proven to give power gains to around 130 and alot of tourqe

- You can really tell the diffrence though , it transformed the car along as motorway giving 65 / 67 mpg to and from devon

After a good service i hope it will be up thier with that mark , haven't changed oil or any filters and that in a long time , let alone clean to turbo out. It seems a bit sluggish at the moment , when i just got the chip under the bonnet and took some of the weight out it would fly , I can get to the 100mph mark so quick , but then i haven't driven a real fast car so this seems quick for me - i was offered a re mapping session localy for 100 mph but I'm not sure if its all preset , but then i suppose if its pretty much stock at the moment I'm sure that would be fine?

I know some one down here remapped thier golf to 180bhp , Now its got me wondering what they could do with the pd100

Is it one of these tuning "chips" ? I had one on mine and it only gave 13 bhp, no extra torque. Definitely felt faster but ultimately those thing ruin injectors. :/

Get a high flow panel filter in there, and an EGR delete kit . Generic maps downloaded off the net are ok but personally I would get one from a recognised tuner, such as AMD or R-tech, just because a dodgy map can rip an engine to shreds. Anywhere that does Revo maps should be a good shout.

Iiirc you can release about 45 more horses with a custom map, which can be tuned to accomodate any engine modifications.

My TDi is still at the standard 100bhp and it still feels quick to me even after over 6 months. I'm waiting until my insurance renewal next january before i think about getting a remap but ill probably end up needing a new flywheel and clutch too with the extra power.

Btw what age is this mines a very early 02 plate and as a result has a few extra bits like chrome boot struts and puddle lights which some of the later ones lack

My clutch is alright on mine with it only having 68k on it but i reckon a remap would probably kill it within a few months. Mine tends to feel very sluggish when the engine is cold and also when i do a lot of short journeys but after a long drive mine pulls really well in 3rd and 4th
