I'm sure I'm not the only one who has realised how dangerous facebook can be now i wont give names but this is how things have gone on.

now i owe some friends a hundred pounds not going to hide it but when they lent me the money which was a few months ago it was under the pretence i paid it back when i got back on my feet, which they knew would be a few months. now for those who dont know, I've had two disks in my back slip but they pull on my spinal cord, so very painful and very disabling, i had been off for nearly a year, but couldnt stay at home any longer, so i have returned to work but it was a phased return to work so still not full pay still only half pay. now this week i get paid money I'm owed from my brother and i receive my first full wage slip in 6 months. now a few days ago i put on a thread i would be attending all types this coming weekend. (this is where facebook comes in sorry for the story but i thought best to explain all) so I'm sent a message over facebook by this person asking what was going on and his misses left a post on my wall saying "see your going to alltypes bet that aint cheap" now fair do i can accept i should have told them i was going to pay them tomorrow. but before id had chance to reply a post went up on his wall saying "the cheek of some fucking people" which then opened the flood gates for everyone to ask whats going on and are you ok to which they both replied using vicious and venomous words to manipulate peoples views so they could play the martar bearing in mind i was still in bed when most of this was going on so imagine the shock i got when i woke up to being described as a t**t a retard a prick an arsehole and so on and yet after id rang up this chap and sorted the matter like a man his misses could not drop the topic she continued her rotten and uncalled for abuse towards me but because this was on facebook all her friends had joined in so it went on as a campaign against me but yet id called up and said id pay them that morning then in the evening it all blew up when she called me a two faced back stabbing lier which as people who know me will tell you I'm not needless to say there not on my facebook anymore and I'm in two minds to pay or not after the hatred and abuse i received the other day

sorry for the essay but i needed to get that out facebook is a dangerous website for all

anyone else had something like this happen on a site like facebook

well i was accused of having a working and fully insured car also but my car is on the garden uninsured and it still overheats so yesterday i went and started fixing it so there was some truth in the accusations

Facebook can be a bit public, but you use it to your advantage - i had a similar thing when one idiot decided to have a hissy fit about something and i sat back and watched who said what. When its fasionable to hate me,crack on. Once the storm had settled i said my side of things and how i was about to cull my friends list of the back stabbing 'friends' who'd joined in and got it wrong.

I messaged them to politely and professionally tell them why (being polite can really piss people off). Each message was the same,universal,copypasta. Some apologised,some got in and deleted me first.

Since then I've had a few olive branches held out and passed them up. Fuck off. Forever. Meant it last year,still mean it this year. They dont learn otherwise and i aint your lapdog you can decide when to make me popular or unpopular. Now things are different,it'd be nice if i was back on your side? I think not.

Quality,not quantity.

Facebook merely reflects how it is. Use it wisely.

funny you say that when she went all her sheep followed in quick succession and sean i know they were good enough to lend it but they knew it would be a few months and why should they be allowed to shoot first ask questions later oh and they will be paid

i agree with mikeyMK, be as polite as you can, and then report them for abuse, they wont have a leg to stand on and they'll probably have their accounts deleted :)

lol i deleted mine in the end facebook causes too many arguements

once some idiot ripped me off on ebay selling something that didn't exist.

I got the money back from paypal (£94).

then I got his phone number, address, email and full name. I added him on Facebook and he accepted, so I left a smart little remark on there informing all of his friends (and colleagues) that he was an untrustworthy criminal and had scammed people out of thousands of pounds on ebay.... needless to say he wasn't my 'friend' for much longer..

Ask him for some more cash- got to have some spends for Alltypes :-)

Facebook sucks!!! It's just a bitch site. A few of my friends are on it, it seems to be a competition as too how many friends they have. And they dont even no 90% of them. I lasted a week and closed my account

They were good enough to lend you some money in the first place. A real friend in return would make paying them back priority number one, not going to a car show. They got the wrong end of the stick becuase they didn't realise you were paying them back and it escalated out of control. Just let them bitch like little school girls, pay them back, tell her to change her tampon and calm down and that's that.

Don't get upset at a few heat of the moment words said over Facebook. Grow some balls.

I for one use Facebook for organising outings with friends and keeping in touch with people. It annoys me when people just dismiss what is potentially a fantastic socialising tool, purely because they think they're above it.

As for the money, I would just suggest paying them back and asking for an apology from her. If she refuses so be it, and avoid her where possible.

Yeah, pretty much. Difference is that I'll probably only ever meet a few minority of you guys off forums. Facebook guarantees that people I know and see on a daily basis will see my goings on on Facebook and make judgement.

Bute yeah, All I use Facebook is for socialising, arranging meeting people, contacting people who are hard to get hold of and also stalking hot girls; who doesn't?

i'm surprised no one no one has suggested this.

Just don't say things on facebook at all. just use it to plan events, and the occassional stalking as a few keeping in touch messages.
