Wooly steering? Drop/Weight/Fatter tyres? (mk2)

Featured Replies

Hey.

Got a 82 breddy with a golf 1.4 8v upfront, when accelerating or at speed (70mph) there feels like the front of the cars not connected to the road :/

its running stock steel's with 145/80/13's uniroyals.

My question is, how can i make the front feel connected again? The front end lifting is quite fun when you see silly corsa's trying to look fast, and watching there faces.

What would people recommend fatter tyres, dropping or putting weight in the front to make sure it stays down?

Any advice welcome! :)

The car is standard other than the 8v :)

Aren't all MK2 Breadvans 8v's anyway?
