Scirocco GT , 1600cc , Weber DMTL, Stainless system, Coilovers.

Featured Replies

Alright guys,

After a lot of consideration I'm putting this beuty up for sale, The only reason being my polo will be back on the road in the near future and i don't want this sitting on my drive way gathering dust and not being enjoyed, maybe interested in some sort of swap for another project, this is too good to start ripping apart IMO

I got the car around 6 months ago, swapped it with my mk2 polo with an enthusiast on here. It has never let me down once and has been treated extremely well. The 1.6 engine pulls well and gives circa 30mpg when driven enthusiastically, a few more if your carefull.

The engine itself has just had an oil change and an airfilter re-newal, has a manual choke and uses a DMTL weber, sounds great. The car also has a catback stainless system, powerflow if i remember correctly, though its virtually silent untill you put your foot down. With the car being lowered around 80mm it handles perfectly, much better than anything else i have ever driven.

The car will come with uprated front seats, GT2 items which are worth their weight in gold, in my opinion the most comfortable seats available :-D . It also has had the inside front lights removed and a golf grille instead of the standard item.

she also has polo VW2 brakes with vented disks, and is lowered around 80mm on coilovers (of an unknown make). The car itself is in very good condition, No rust at all from what i can see, paintwork could be better, but polishes up a treat.

Bad points:

Slight paint blemish on nearside quater, looks like repair work of some sort, the paint has been rubbed down.

Tax runs out at the end of this month, can be taxed at buyers cost if needed.

No parcel shelf, supports are missing material so look abit shabby.

Engine bay is pretty dirty, underside of bonnet needs attention or painting, nothing serious.

Might need a set of wheels as i am keeping the banded steelies, may be able to sort something out with a mate however, will update when i know.

Nearside bump stripped has been removed in the past ownership, not the tidest job in the world but could be easily rectified.

Thats as much as i can remember at the moment, the car is a dream to drive and to own, turns head everywhere it goes, sounds great, looks great.

Price wise I'm thinking around £850, however I'm more interested in some sort of swap/part exchange for another project, has to have MOT and TAX. Mostly interested in another mk1-2 polo , jetta etc.

will add more pics as soon as i can.

Forgot to mention  , if the car is to my sold, it will have to be after i have got the polo MOT'd and back on the road (2 weeks tops) , if it is to be swapped then it can be anytime, part exchange aswell.

Also, the car is at the MOT station as we speak, passed first time with the rear wheel bearing being replaced along with some brake line.

Swapzzzz

Swapzzzz

for the 6n?!

The coupe, valver engine included, already spoke via text but he wants something that runs

Salty buy it for me and I'll pay you back in installments

Lol you two, i was tempted by the coupe and the AFH to be honest, but wouldn't be able to get insured on it and already got a mk3 :-D

May sell with the steel wheels, they're banded golf steel steelies on the back (8" wide) and 6" wide on the front, All with decent tread.

Mileage is just over 100,000 , hardly anything for a car as old as this.

Right, had a think about what to regarding the tax on this and the wheels.

Because the cars got a pretty good spec and is pretty much mint, i think these prices are fair, Runs out of tax this month remember.

If the car is picked up before the end of the month, then obviously the buyer will be taxing it, If it is still here and i am still using it then i will tax it. If the car is still here but no longer in use then i can tax the car for the buyer, will need a deposit however.

Without wheels = £700

With banded steelies = £850

Cool just checked and you're 2hrs away :-) do you have any pics of under the bonnet and the interior? if they look ok we'll have to sort out when i can come over?

No pics of them sorry mate,

The interior is very clean, and will come with GT seats. Its missing the parcel shelf and the material that covers the shelf supports, just needs a spruce up etc.

Under the bonnet has some surface rust, as does some parts of the engine bay, absolutely nothing structural anywhere. This is reflected in the price, there's mk2 breadvan's going for more money on here which is ridiculous.

Cheers.

This is my old rocco. It is a great car, very good runner and so fun to drive. This is a very good price as mk2 roccos are only going up in price. Good luck with sale Max, id have it off you but already picking up another one for my collection next week.

Sounds good to me, but do you have any pics i can take a look at? Just want to have a quick look before i do a 2 hour drive over.

Yeah I can put photos up of whatever you like?

Also, car now has 6 months road tax (£118) , so iv added this onto the price.

£700 without banded steelies

£850 with, would rather sell without.

Really cheap for what it is.
