Small Update!

Was dropping misses off at college the other morning after sitting in traffic for a while after a while the traffic cleared and i put my foot down on the dual carageway and this happend!!!

It must be due to that milestone 100,000 miles comming up very soon!!!

what ever the problem was it did infact stop the ABS working!

So out came the VAG-COM lead here was the result!!

Luckily i have cleared the fault and its stayed off and everything is working okay!!

Dont worry that rust is surface I've checked it :)

Looks like drive sharft has said hello to the chassis a few times :)

Oh and another Dub to the rescue! Helped me mate out the other day after his EGR valve gave up! Then when RAC got there we had alread VAG-COM'd it and fixed it!!

We also have a hosepipe ban here. I wish i knew why!! amount of rain we have had. So i took it into my own hands as cleaning my car with a bucket is a joke!!

how did it work for using the pressure washer on that. gravity fed ?? i was thinking of same idea didnt no if it would work

works fine!

Just make sure the pressure washer is lower. I cant tell the difference from mains water!

Had my arches rolled last week!!

Phil from arch enemy came out and done a good job!

Did it without harming the paint in anyway which as brilliant!

But I now have a new problem with scrubbing! Has anyone else had this issue with it scrubbing on the join between the bumper and the arch??

Anyway Anyone that is interested in this for future referance!

8j's on the front of a 6n2 is not a direct fitment. As even after getting my arches rolled the front where still scrubbing! And it had started taking chunks out the tyres!

So today me and me mate had a good look and found where the issue is! It is of course where the bumper bolts to the arch right on that screw. So out came the screw and that hole was cut away with the metal tag where it bolts to the car. Then we drilled a new hole slightly more towards the front of the arch and bolted it back up. And this has stopped all the issues with the scrubbing!

Looks a bit hashed here but I'm getting some sealer on that naked metal!

The old girl flew through the MOT This morning! (Test station had a lovely brand new pit), But i was still to low for the break rollers!! ABS kept cutting in!

I've put the BBS'S back on and put the coilovers up slightly! And the thing handles like an animal now! Bit like its on rails

Why am i bothering with stupid lows and wide shiney wheels!!!

Brand new got it from eBay. I wasn't going to VW dealers and getting my bum hole pulled out. Plus our local parts dept will not sell you anything without the VIN number..... (So this dosent show up as a part for my car!)

What else do you need? Brake pedal switch, looms?

As far as i can figure out all i have to do is run 4 wires and solder them into the ECU plug and a switched live. and thats it....

i think the brake pedal switch already goes via the ECU as you can see it as a Measuring block on VAG-COM appently any VW with fly by wire is cruise control capable!

Its all in and working! Took me and mate about hour and half to fit!

Its actually really easy to do! The ECU plug was a bit of a pig and you have to be very careful with the purple clip!

Apart from that it works a treat!

I have the same on my 6n2 1.4 16v. Works every now and then and goes to the mid range. Fitted a new sensor but to no avail!

Anyway one day when that coolent sensor stops working i will buy a new one!

After we fitted the cruise control and re connected the battery the first fault on vag-com was that bloody sensor!!

Onwards and upwards

this arrived this morning...

So i feel some more wiring comming on!!!

Yeah as I've said before the cruise control is the best mod i think for the GTI and should of come with it standard.

Not alot else has happened since fitting the comfort indicators. Just been driving it.

Some dick in a chaved Corsa B chucked a MCflurry at my car across the MC Donalds car park the otherday. Lucky for him it missed.. He must of been jealous that my wheels are worth 2-3 times what his car is!!

There really is some total pricks out there!!

Should have totally got out and smacked the wee prick for chucking the mcflurry, fucking dick. Hate wankers.
