I'm new around here and thought i would do a little project thread so i can see the various stages of my polo being transformed. I bought my polo with 47k on the clock and had some small things in mind i wanted to do to make it look how i want it. Heres how it was the day i got it

This is my original plan list:

Remove the side bump strips

debadge the boot

touch up the small patch of rust on the rear left arch

then hopefully going to get some:

g60 steels

coilovers

16v bumpers

6n2 rear lights

de wiper

debadged grill

Then a few week later finally got my first steps done

New grill

removed bump strips

and finally debaged and blacked out my badge

I then stumbled across some 6n2 lights on ebay for £40 posted so snapped them up

and thats how it stands today, still need to try get the marks off where the badges were, anyone know of any good paint restorer? :p hopfully some more updates will be coming soon :)

Cheers man! Got nothing on yours though, I have always loved g60 steels especially banded sets so I love your wheels more than mine :p I'll try and get some photos soon before she goes into winter

FLAT DOWN WITH 2500 WET AND DRY THEN USE SOME MENZERA ON A MOP. JOB DONE GONE. LOOKS GOOD. BEST COLOUR IMO MIND YOU I WOULD SAY THAT :-D

Really? Wet and dry? Why would that help? Surly your just gonna go through the clear coat? It's just were the paint has faded

Just try t cutting it dude.

Havnt posted on here in a while so thought I would give people a little update for those who care? I bought some g3 compound and some g10 compound and neither of them worked so I have come to the conclusion that my boot must have been resprayed along with my whole rhs :( my only hope is that when I get my bumpers sprayed up I can kindly ask the body shop to blend the back one in abit generously :p g3 is awesome stuff though, slowing getting rid of my orange peel
