1.4 AEX >>>> 1.4 16v AFH

Featured Replies

Is it possible to use the AEX bottom end with a 16v head and manifolds? Only they guy who i bought my 16v interior from said it could be done and run on the AEX ECU, wouldn't be 100bhp but would be quicker. Is this guy just bull sh1tting or is there sense in his talk, according to Autodata the AEX and AFH have the same size bore and stroke, i assume the difference is in the oil and water ways

Any help would be appreciated as he might sell the head and manifolds and injectors dirt cheap :)

You'd need the 16v pistons too, else your compression ratio will be too low and you could damage valves. The 16v uses stronger con rods, too.

Electrics,i dont know. It might adapt well enough but that's even if you can plug it all up.
