Hi guys,

I have seen an image of some wheel trims I fancy, which considering I've only found two pictures of on the whole of google, I'm guessing are very scarce.

Here's a picture of the trims. Would anyone have any idea what they are called or where I could start to find them?

If anyone could help me out, it would be awesome - I really would love a set on my Mk.2 Breadvan.

ill fight you for them

failing finding some, why not buy some normal VW ones and customised them like this?

I think that's my plan. I actually found the user who posted the image of his car, it's on a German car forum, so I've signed up and sent him a message in german (the best I could haha) so hopefully I might get a reply. I'll just wait and see.

Were they ever even available to buy? Or are you just assuming they are a genuine VW part?

They look home made..... make your own as i doubt you will find a set if they did exist.

I wouldn't know if they were genuine or not, but considering they are also an available option on the Polo Selectra (pololand.fr) I'm assuming they were in production at some point. Also, I did once find an image of a polo mk2 on english google with them on.

If I have no luck then I'll make my own, but it would be cool to have a genuine set

I emailed a french guy from the Pololand website, these wheels did indeed exist, he sent me a link showing there origin, name and all sorts

Now just to find a set...

expect to pay £400+ for a used set only ever seen on german ebay and they rocket in the last minutes.

saw a single new wheel no centre cap (hardest bit to get) go for £140.

nice wheels though

they are made by "centra" they are mk2 G40 cup wheels and were only fitted on the genuine cup cars i believe so not a walk in the dealer buy it item.

Ah that's a shame, oh well, it was nice to get some background knowledge on the wheels anyway, you never know - one day I might get lucky :)

g40jon - I was thinking the same, I've seen a german site which sells them pretty cheap, the ones on my polo at the moment are pretty busted up
