the wires and plugs are already there ;) just take off the lower side grills where the fogs would go, and they're attached to the metal work. you obviously need the fog lights, which due to the wires being there standard are literally plug and play, fog lights grills and also a new light switch which incorporates front fogs. Turn the lights off, push the turn switch in to the unit and turn to sidelights and it pulls out ;) then just swap for one with a front fog switch as well. Voila, next to putting a stubby aerial on it's probably one of the easiest things to do as it's all there just needs plugging in!

By the way before any one else says it, this has been said before but I know the search is a hassle too :p

ahh sick guy! cheers man :D just ordered some gti lower grills with fog light holes, fog lights and the switch :D .... boom! :p

Did exactly this with mine, hardest part is finding where the fog light wires are clipped up.

I found it worth getting the plastic inserts for the fog light mounting holes. Ordered mine from an independant VW garage, few pence each. They push into the holes and then self tapping screws to fix the lamps.

if you want to run the front fogs seperately to the rear fogs, you would need a new switch, if you want fronts to come on with rear fog, just use the existing switch (it worked on my 1.0 6n2 when i was stripping it, the fogs stayed in for a while but swapped the switch back to the single position one straight away.)

Those definately look like the fog light plugs, the wires in them should be White/Yellow & Brown.

If you want to use the single position switch join the White/Yellow 1.5mm(front fogs) wire at the switch to the thinner 0.35mm Grey/Green wire (rear fog)

what doya mean?? were do i join these wires? on the back of the switch its self? ... btw is it just easyer if i just buy a switch with the fog light swith on it hahaa?

Yes it would be much better to get the correct switch, that way you can have the front fogs on without the rear fog, but if you just want both fogs on with your original switch, then you can join the wires as stated at the connector for the main light switch

ahh right soo if i just buy some standard fog lights now and plug them in they should work when i put the rear fogs on ? lol

The front fogs will only work with your original switch if you join the wires as previously stated
