can i change the bulbs or anything in my headlights to make them brighter??

Well I guess you could technically put in HIDs but there is a grey area in the law surrounding then.

& they're road legal

well with mine being a gti it has the standard xenon headlights but they're quite dull, dont know if thts just due to age, thats why i wondered if i could change the bulbs??

You can get Phillips Xtreme's or something similar. They're meant to be brighter and whiter. I haven't used them myself though.

You won't be able to use those.. 6N2 GTi headlight are xenons, so they take D2S bulbs.

The standard kelvin rate on the bulbs are 4300K. You can upgrade the bulbs to 6000K with the bulbs below so that they are a brighter white.

GTi's already are HID so there perfectly road legal.

As emma said. 6000k bulbs make a difference. I've always thought standard ones are good enough so maybe try some plasic polish on the lenses first?

They abit milky?/stone chipped?

cool cheers emma think i'll try they bulbs! any recomendation for sidelight bulbs?? bought quite a few sets off of ebay and some just haven't worked and others are white but very dull :s nah the lenses aint to bad on the headlight but the lense round the bulb looks a bit murky but duno if thats just the way they look standard as no1 near with a gti to compare it too!
