Hi there

I'm after a complete steering column assembly for an '86 Mk2 Polo. I need inner, outer and ignition housing after a bout of vandalism.

Looks like this......................

Needs to be 'not bent' and have a key if barrel is still attached please.

Anyone able to help?

i think i have one of those m8 i will check later tonight and get back to you. I'm working 10am-10pm so could be tommorow night i get back to you ok. I took one off a mrk2 d reg 1 litre polo few months ago but it was wrong one for mine coz mine is the newer columb on a g-reg. I think i left a brand new steering lock assembly with new barrel installed on it aswell when i was playing about with it. Dont get you are hopes up but if its there and as it should be u can have it m8 for the price of the new steering lock which was 25 quid plus whatever postage to u is. I think all u will need is you are indicator stalk and stuff. if not i MIGHT have a spare one and i say MIGHT.

Ave got the full assembly with brand new steering lock AND the stalk all attached to it. If you can get online tonight can show u the whole columb complete on cam for u to see to ensure it IS what u need. Like i say the steering lock and barrel are brand new with 2 new keys with it aswell. If i can get a decent picture with my phone of it the now I will edit this and show u on a picture.

OK here is pictures of the complete columb with steering lock , new barrel, 2 keys and i put a complete indicator/wiper stalk onto it aswell. tell me if u want it ?

With the stalk included u have the complete columb just ready to fit. the bracket even has the original bolt and self tightening rivet on other side attached. £30 and I wont get a chance until saturday bud to get it packed and weighed at postie for delivery price for u. wont be that much a wouldnt imagine. Whole lot is a steal for that price. But I'm not greedy like others i seen in here trying to rip people off instead of helping a fellow polo enthusiast out with a decent price on stuff. No not yet.

Hasn't been on the road for several years and I'm still in the process of recommissioning it.

To do:

Patch very small hole on O/S/R sill

Replace rubber brake flexi's

Replace rear wheel cylinders

4 x tyres (but this may include some wheels :) )

Finish off service

Not much but doing this along side restoring another Scirocco and also getting my son to help as he wants polo as his first car.

Target date is August

Not much to do to it then. the wheel cylinders are pennies to buy. buy some shoes for the back with it aswell. will be sound with set of shoes and new wheel cylinders for MOT. My cousin reversed into my front drivers side wing. Now am looking for a new wing as I'm not messing about trying to repair the dented one. it would cost same price as new one. If you come across any mrk2 polos with drivers side front wing in good condition gimme a shout m8. Cheers.
