Hello hello to all, thought my first post can just as well be in my ride's thread.

So hi to all. I'm Albert, from Pretoria, South Africa. I have been a member on www.vwclub.co.za for a while now. Joined when I still had my 1.6 9n3:

I had her from new till about 30 000km, when an amazing deal knocked on my front door. Also at 30 000km's with sunroof, cruise control, 5 speed 74kw/210nm torque, this beauty was bought at R30 000 (about £3 000) below book value.

Day I took delivery:

Love her to bits. Nothing beats a bit of unexpected torque!! Modding didn't wait that long, did my 35% smash and grab only 5 months after getting her:

After that, I put in a K&N air filter:

And also cut out the flap that's inside the intake pipes trumpet:

Soos after, I bought the intake pipe from the PD 160 motor (found in the SEAT Ibiza Cupra) and installed that:

Then I bought myself a 12 000 K Xenon HID Kit, it had a blueish glow, but it was beautiful:

Then there came a 40mm drop with thanx to NForce and also a joey mod to the headlights:

This was followed by PGTi reps and honeycomb grills all round:

Also made the V black not long after that:

Struck my first patch of bad luck when I ran over a dog... Obviously by accident:

Got that fixed and then it was world cup time. Amazing time in SA. So much patriotism so I decided to join in:

The GTI bootspoiler was a must have, so I got that too!!

And on I went to performance upgrades, first up: SEAT Sport Intercooler

I've had these lights in my mind ever since I saw them... Audi DRL style lights:

And last but not least, software... Went with the Viezu brand and I'm really happy!

But now I can't drive for another month (has already been a month) because I tore my thumb ligaments and had an operation. FML
