P-Slots with not many P's.

Those look like Pirelli P Slots with porsche centre caps.

they are porsche wheels which have been machined to look like p slots

5 stud though, and only 7 p's? I thought p slots had 8? P/s?

jon knows.

Porsche 928's with the P's machined in by the looks of things

defo 928s machined as p slots are 4 stud and 8 or limited 9 p's

matt

why would you make your nice porche wheels look like cheap ass p-slots?

In my eyes - 1 - OEM style wheel, just beacause they're common doesn't make them crap

2 - appreciation, older folks may recognize them as gti campaign wheels, where as the more knowledgeable person would know they're too big to be pslots, and hopefully, appreciate the custom touch.

Looks pretty cool IMO.

Yep /\/\/\

I think its class, there wont be a set of those wheels like that anywhere else in the world probs. Thats as 'different' as you can get.

its a fairly common mod to those porsche wheels. seen a couple of sets made to look like p-slots.

more photos of it?

i like em its different and it shows someone has taken the time to work that one out not to sure as to wether it would weaken the structure of the rim tho but i would ,nt have tought so its not a lot of machining out

I don't care how 'unique' or 'different' they are, paying to make your porka rims look like a some shitty £40 wheels seems a little pointless to me.

Your probably looking at a good £5-600 to buy the wheels and adaptor's and have them machined, probably more if you have to buy the adaptors new. All to make your wheels that have a bit of prestige look like a set of wheels that most people use as winters or as a budget option till they can afford some thing better.

My opinion probably isn't helped by the fact I think p-slots look shit and they were the first thing I changed on my campaign, but why anyone would you want to make relatively expensive wheels look like shonky cheap vw wheels is beyond me

First time i saw this must've been ten years ago - same Porsche wheels identically machined to look like P's and they were mirror polished on a fully customised white Vento.

Might even be the same set..

Exactly!

pfffttt, your all missing the point

Its not making a decent set of wheels look cheap. doing the opposite.

I'm not a massive fan of P-slots, but on the right car they can work. And if this person likes them and thinks that their car will look shit on 14's (because lets face it, it would look ridiculous on 14's) And maybeee has access to the equipment to do this themselves... Then fair fucking play

I like um, there different. And i know people will say 'different doesnt always mean good' but i think in this case, it is good.

I'm not saying there bad there just not that special there just over sized p-slots i can think of alot of better ways to make some unique and smart wheels if i could this guy, as i said, made some over sized p-slots.

There not bad a nice touch but still a huge waste

P-slots also came in 15" and they looked equally as shit.

If you want a shit looking set of oem wheels there are plenty to choose from these days. P-slots were never cool, edgy or sort after, they were just shit wheels once fitted to vw's from the factory and most ditched pretty soon after.

Campaigns are sort after but only because they are 14" with a certain amount of p's and a precise size and spacing of them. You try to fob any one that cares off with any thing else and they will laugh in you face.

So at best these are an expensive wheel trying to look like a cheap copy of a copy of wheels that are slightly sought after by some mk1 golf owners.

The whole 'they are being different' argument is Bullshit, if they were being different they wouldn't be copying shit wheels. They would make them slots into any shape they choose and actually be different.

Down to opinion though, you think P-slots are shit, but obv theres people that dont. If nobody at all liked them, then they wouldn't have been made in the 1st place. Let alone been copied like this...

And there are people that think making love to horses is ok, but that doesn't make it right.

We could argue till the cow's come home tho tobes, the fact of the matter is p-slots normally sell for about 50 quid and these porka's sell for what 200 without adapters? pretty much minimum?...

If the p-slots weren't classed as shit they would go for more than that, things are only worth what people are willing to pay after all. So even if you argue the slots ain't shit, they are still a lot shitter than the wheels being raped to make shit copies.
