VW Polo 6N2 1.4 S

Featured Replies

Hi,

Here for sale is my 2000 VW Polo 1.4 S. I have just purchased a Smart Car and this is now no longer needed hence the reason for sale.

  • 1.4 8v 60 bhp Engine
  • 73987 m
  • MOT June 2012
  • Tax Jan 2012
  • Electric Windows
  • Electric Mirrors
  • Central Locking
  • ABS
  • Power Steering
  • 14" VW Alloy Wheels

The car has been very well maintained with the following stamped history:

  • 08/07/01 - 8286m VW Benfield Motors
  • 20/07/02 - 16853m VW Benfield Motors
  • 20/06/03 - 24215m VW Benfield Motors
  • 26/07/04 - 31743m Cavandish Motor Co
  • 01/09/05 - 38219m VW Benfield Motors
  • 25/08/06 - 43805m VW Benfield Motors
  • 23/08/10 - 69808m

This last service was carried out by myself which included Air Filter, Oil Filter, Oil, (all Genuine VW parts) and Bosch Spark plugs. I also have receipts for the following carried out by myself:

  • Temperature Sensor fitted and coolant change (Genuine VW parts) 23/08/10 69808m
  • Cambelt, Water Pump and Tensioners - 70073m 31/08/10
  • N/S Rear wheel bearing 02/09/10 70104m
  • Thermostat Housing 21/12/10 71939m
  • Clutch cable and Clutch replaced, Front brake disc and pads fitted 07/01/11 72140m
  • Battery replaced 02/02/11 72402m
  • Track Rod End and front brake hose replaced - 15/05/11 73740m

As you can see the car has been extremely well looked after and anything needed has been replaced. Tyres all round have 6mm of tread. The car also had a full exhaust fitted by the previous owner on 24/03/10.

The car inside is in good condition, there are a few marks as to be expected. The exterior of the car is in what I would describe as average condition for its age. The main bits to point out are:

  • The drivers side rear arch has a scuff where it was caught and the rub strips have been touched in.
  • The drivers door mirror casing could do with respraying and the drivers door mirror glass was broken so had a stick on glass put over the top.
  • There are some other marks and chips
  • The ABS light occasionally comes on, I have had the car VAGCOM scanned and it is one of the rear sensors but as it is intermittent I have been told it should only need cleaning.
  • The window switch on the drivers side for the passenger window only works upwards.

Overall the car does polish up well but I am just wanting to be honest. I would highly recommend viewing the car as you can judge this for yourself. This would make an ideal first car as it may not be the tidiest on the outside but mechanically it is fine.

If you have any questions or require and more pictures then please feel free to ask. I am also available on 07825524674.
