That does look like a nasty bend. What happened did it understeer or did you just not steer enough?

That is well fucked mate,you should know the front wheel is pushed like 2-3 inches back as a result of the ARB being pushed back and the chassis leg is split right open.

The ill-fitting door suggests the frame has stretched,and that's real bad.

It'll take a re-shell or proper jigging to sort. The latter will cost many times the worth of a shell to do properly,and even then it will never be right.

It's quite simple, the road markings (long dashes in the centre) mean "Hazard ahead" slow down expect a sudden change of direction!

But if you had followed the great Roger Clarks advice, you could see the the tree's on the outside were going around 90 deg+, so you should of slowed to an appropriate speed!! so I suspect you were doing over 30mph as even with the Polo's lack of handling, I very much doubt @ 30 mph or less you would of drifted into the ofside lane! unless you had mittigating evidence, like oil slick on the road, bald tyres! suspension lowered beyond manufacturers limits or total brain failure!!!

There is a warning sign as you approach from the east and north, and chevrons on the corner if you approach from the north.

started to turn the corner and some woman was cutting it slightly, seeing as i was doing almost 25 which was a stupid idea i started to pump the brakes but the wheels locked up and skidded into the middle of the road

yer it was getting dark and the road was wet when it happened to me, probably put it down to me not being experienced with corners like that.

nah this is the 1.0L version, hoping to stick it in a mk3 loon after i've cleaned it up.

depends on whether i get some good offers for the engine though, which i doubt cuz the radiators punctured
