Hi all, agin sorry for the n00b question in advance

The n/s electric window reg on my 6n is inop. The fuse is ok, and there's power and earth at the reg motor. When pressing the button the motor just clicks. Now i'm told this is quite a common occurance on the 6n, so what actually goes wrong? Is it the reg and not the motor? Can a repair kit be obtained or is it a new complete mech?

Take the door panel off, check the cables and runners on the mechanism, if there okay and seem free of damage, then it's your motor... If not, it's the mech.

Have tried this already, cables seem fine, motor tries to work but won't budge the reg. I will the motor off the reg in a bit and see if it works when disconnected. :)

ok so i've stripped it all down, the motor is fine, and so is the reg apart from the little pastic clips that hold the window clamps on have snapped. an you get a repair kit?
