about me :p I'm rob and I'm 17 and bought the car as an easy project, I've loved mk3's since i saw a friends haha a long time ago .

Such a nice car. I remember wishing I had an extra £500 when looking for a MK3, wanted it so bad!

got myself a lovely roofrack off Martyn Lacey (01mlacey) :) £20 and i made him a lower front strut brace in work.

Oh and some prssed plates off ebay also £20

yeah man its the new fashion bump that shit haha cheers mate, yeah so did i so i ask me gramps to lend me the money and I've took the back down another 30mm and that was maxed out on the front so putting shorter coils on atm gives me another 2 inches if i want to go that much at some point :)

The back are like 140 mk1 golf ones and I don't see any issue in making your own for the front :) all you need is some threaded tube and seats, springs and angle grinder permanent marker and basic welding skills :/ cos about 100 and 4 hours fabrication

I'm 17 and dont drive it haha insurance is 4300 and its a 1litre on the books :/ its not been logged and its still that exspensive :(

ahhh, i see. Yeah i was considering the engine swap in mine, i thought now i've been driving a year, one year no claims, pass plus etc the gt swap shouldn't be too bad. How wrong could i be...

just dont declare it they will never tell the only difference is it multi point injection instead of single :) they will never know and just wack a 1litre engine cover on :p

just thought i would give a little update as not done much in a while due to lack of money :(

so here goes. basically I've painted the manifold with black fire coat ready to be heat wraped and made some sub frames up to fit my rover 214 sei half leather seats in :) heres some pics.

also my whole exhaust looked pretty crap and a bit rusty so go rid of the rust and sprayed that all too and machine some suspension parts to fit better than before and re painted my struts and cleaned all of the suspension. new springs new wheel bearing all round

EDIT: Where is that paint from by the way? Looks really nice and thick compared to all the other high tempreture paint i've seen.

Cheers mate and it's car plan stuff firecote and it's only a fiver good stuff I got it from my local motor factors but sure hellfords and motorworld sell it too :)
