Right so I have started a small build thread on here but it went a bit messed up, finally got a photobucket account and some more pictures!

Plans are:

GTI splitter

Roll arches to go lower

25mm spacers - waiting to go on

Some more bits and bobs for the interior

Some bits too the engine.

Will be thankful for any advice!

Wheel Spacers on, But scrubbed like hell so have to wait til arches are done :( - plus baby on board sign is a joke!

Update: Nothing much, re-done my headliner now, it had pretty much fallen down so got some double sided tape for it! Also sprayed the grab handles and sunvisors black to match the red leather :) enjoy!

My weight for the tape to stick! haha!

Also thinking of spraying the wheels Gun Metal grey.... anyone think that would look good?

IMO id get rid of that exhaust/back box

Nothing wrong with the jap look. But an exhaust that size on a car as small as the polo generally looks ridiculous!

yeah i know tell me about it! I'm gonna try and make it custom and hidden but that cost pennies :(

Polo is looking really nice, the only thing I would invest in is the custom exhaust, just had mine done - went for the hidden one....looks and sounds great - £280.00 from Longlife... but apart from that looks lovely

If your any good with a welder and have access to a tig welder, just buy the back box and stainless piping yourself. You'll find it will be not even a 3rd of the cost of buying one.

For example, I'm going for a straight through system on mine, with decat and a bike can on the rear. That would have set me back £320. So picked up a renegade slip on race can for £28, 3 metres of stainless pipping for £40, some 10mm stainless rod to make the hangers for £5 and some stainless welding rods for £9.99 grand total of £83 and you have the satisfaction that youve done it yourself!

HA! thats wicked! pretty sure my grandad has loads of stuff lying around so I'm sure were figure something! really wanna get a whole system on would sound wicked! Thanks for the comment though!

i regret buying a loud exhaust, its good for about a week (with huge fire spitting). then its just annoying and draws attention to yourself

i had a straight through with no silencers or cat...

i now have 3 silencers and a cat and it still droans

Agree with the gent above, the reason i have opted for a complete straight through is due the the fact i have a diesel and a turbo (all be it a small one :p). Il see greater gains from mine as it will free up the restriction massively, plus il be getting it remapped so will see greater improvements than if i was to have had silencers and back box.

As said its a diesel so not loud really :p

But cars looking sweet dude, needs some lowerage though..

yeah they can be a bit annoying but i love the sound of mine, its not too droany and sounds wicked when you boot it! But it needs too be hidden haha! yeah arches are being rolled wednesday, cant wait!

Small Update. Sprayed some bits on the interior today, did the centre console, and side heater blowers. Will get some pics of them back in the car tomo :)

Right some updates!

Got new exhaust on, doesn't sit great at the moment so will get that sorted then smooth the bumper a bit, got my gti splitter on, tried some hub-centric spacers but there now off as i couldnt go that low and they ate my arches :( so getting some 10mm ones and keeping it low! :)

yeah I'm not too keen on the wheels too, but haven't got the money for new wheels :(:( and yeah sounds real nice, its quiet when driving normal and when you give it some it gives a real nice grunt! :) which i love cos its such a little exhaust haha

really liking this car. I quite like the wheels too! Preferred the old exhaust though!! lol. Only thing i'm not keen on is the front numberplate. But otherwise a sweet looking motor.

^^ I agree, standard plate on the lower front grill would look alot better. Other than that cars looking good. :)

yeah I'm using the old exhaust too make a hidden one as i dont like this one haha! And I'm not keen on the plate on the lower grill, i think with smoothed bumpers it looks better square, but thats my opinion! Thanks for the feedback!

Right few updates, got the bike exhaust cut down and hidden, gti splitter in gloss black, fog lights and some new wheels too soon be going on! :) anyways some pics from the last meet.

Right new wheels are now on, refurbed them myself and laquered them, come out nice for only £117 :p

how did you repair them then lacquer them? surely you can see the filler?

Also a tip for spraying i presume the interior bits are gloss black? if so you need thicker coats.... 1 tack coat 1 coverage coat for tricky bits and a thick coat for final preetyness. thats how i do it anyway mate.

Possibly filled the kurbing via welding with an alloy rod and then sanding/polishing back?
