Have been told that 165/50/15 stretch on a 15x7.5 can be on the unsafe sidee...

Can the brand of the tyre have an effect as they have different stretch finishes?

yeah i've looked on there in the past, but a 165 stretch looks very stretched though on a 7.5

wondering if anyone has had any problems or issues with this stretch on this size?

Friend of mine has 165/50's on a 7J and it looks really tidy - nothing major at all so I'd imagine another 6mm(?) out either side isn't going to do much - he's been running them for years :)
