My 1.0 6n2 isn't quite running properly. I had the ECU fault 'multiple misfires on random cylinders' a while back. Resetting the ECU, new spark plugs, HT leads, air filters and cleaning throttle plate seamed to do the trick but now I think they were just briefly covering up the problem. Now it studders at low rpm with full throttle and there is a general lack of power. The ECU light hasn't come on yet but i imagine it will soon. I figured it might be the injectors but they are big bucks so I was wondering if there were any cheaper solutions to get started on.

Rather than fitting parts which may not be necessary, you would be advised to get it on Vagcom, clear any faults that show up, run it for a little while, re-test it and see if there are any more ( new) fault codes.

If new fault codes (or the same old ones) show up, you will then have a better idea of what remedial action to take.
