you can get undertrays for these i believe, well worth one if your going low!

Not a lot at the moment, ordered an FK ARB for extra clearance so just waiting for that to arrive in the post.

Headlight tints have also started peeling so they will be removed and possibly replaced with film instead of apart or I might just leave them off.

Fitted my Fk arb the other day. They dont look the best quality and bit of a mission getting out past the sub frame and getting the RHS loop out and in!

Cant comment o n handling as my old one has been shot for like 3months, total free play, so anything is better lol

Yeah I'm not expecting it to be too simple.

Do you notice much extra driveshaft clearance?

i took the helpers out of mine and it was just boucing on the bump stops all the time :-( and you say you have taken you adjusters out the back what are the springs sat on ?

liking the pics, sweet car!

Tinted lights

sits so well there good work

Defo recomend a alloy custom undertray for you as your so low. Slowly but surely when I have put my order in fr coilies I'll be making 1.

The front bumper trim/guard, is that an after market buy? Or a custom job? Cause mine has an indentation for the number plate, looking for a smooth one. Anyone able to help? Links if possible would be wicked.

I've cut the bump stops on the front so it's not bouncing on them, adjusters are out the rear so it still sits on the metal cup, it's just the actual adjuster rings that are out.

LiamMk6Polo - I've seen an alloy sump guard for sale but tbh you have to hit pretty hard before it catches the sump. I have caught it a few times but nothing thats been too worrying so it's nothing I'm looking at in the near future.

PM'd you back mate.

Not much happening at the moment, received my new ARB but went to fit it and saw that I'm actually hitting chassis not ARB, so won't be getting fitted. Should really have had a good look before I bought it  Headunit surround is out at the moment as I'm spraying it gloss black, also emailed a guy about some BBS RW's (aka polo dune alloys) but not heard anything back so not holding out much hope.

Well unfortunately for the polo it's going to be taking a bit of a backseat as the workhorse as my amazing girlfriend has just bought me this for my 21st :-D

Well the Polo wasn't too happy with being put on the back burners so decided to have a fight with a cats eye, and the cats eye won

Made for some fun at 5:45am on a Monday morning

And here was the aftermath once I arrived home

Was only a matter of time I suppose, but all part of the fun and games. I replaced the sump, filled up the oil and all is well again.

Oh and I put the helpers back in seeing as this is just the daily now, but I can't help looking at it and hating the way it sits so think I'm going to have to do something...

Air ride? :-D

why not get a shallow sump?

Hi mate new on here.. Nice polo looking sweet. Just wondering how easy it is to spray the rears all red and how to do it pal thanks

I've done it to mine, advise to remove the lights, 1 screw on the back of them can be undone by hand or with a 10mm, maskin tape the sides of the car when removing the lamps as they are held in by spring clips (can slip and scratch paint), then once they are removed, you can either spray the whole light like above, or mask up the light to only spray the clear bits like I did. Attack the light with some 1000grit wet and dry to make it flat as that should make the paint stick better. Then spray them with some Etech light tint spray (what ever colour you like) then wait a few days till properly hardend and the clear coat them other wise they will fade orange in sun light. After doing mine twice i prefer them being clear coated due to they haven't faded unlike befor it took less than a month in the summer to go orange, also the shine from them is wicked!

What you'll need is, masking tape, 1000grit wet and dry, light spray (Etech stuff), clear coat and some spair time.

Sorry for the bit of a hijack,

Liam
