Gave my car its first full service (never serviced a car in my life) went well found everything other than the fuel filter had a look everywhere i can think of can someone enlighten me as to where it is hiding :)

if you jack the rear of the car up you'll see a silver cylinder in front of the fuel tank on the drivers side of the car with two hoses going into it :)

on my 6n its above above the tank undeath look above the axle and forward can be abit of a c**t if its not jacked up high enough tho

It is easy enough to change, as said, there are just two clips, BUT it would be as well to have a couple of spare ones at hand, as you might find that the ones that are on are of the crimped type, which need to be replaced.

Other snags that you could run into include difficulty in removing the single mounting screw, should the head have gone rusty, however, this only screws into the plastic bracket, so with a bit of patience, it will come out.

It is as well to de-pressurise the fuel system before you start, just remove fuse 18 and start the engine, you don't even need to wait 'till it stops running, as the pressure will drop more or less as soon as the engine starts.

Do have plenty of rag under the car with you, especially if you are working on a tarmac surface, you are bound to loose some petrol, and petrol on tarmac makes a bit of a mess!
