i already was signed in was messed up.

finally got round to trial fitting the steelies after an inspirational trip to the derby dubs meet last night. the plan is to get 2 of the wheel re-centered to give it a bit of dish and bring them more flush with the rear arch's. then refurb them in a light silver for an oem look I've also got center caps and trim protectors to spray up and put on. might go abit mental when i spray the rim protectors I'm thinkin white with red flowers and just use them for show. any way pics

started on the suspension today didn't go brilliantly to be honest lol

first was getting it onto my mates drive :(

as you can see the exhaust came clean off the bracket was facing down so caught the curb and slid out of place ripping the rubber hangers off with it. got 2 new rubbers for £1.10 so not all bad.

well thats about as far as we got in the few hours we had on it today. we undid the rears at the top but couldn't get the bolt out at the bottom so they will be grinded and wacked out but I've got to wait untill tuesday until i can get replacements. I'm also going to be replacing the front cv boots, ball joints and track rod ends so they will all be ordered on monday and hopefully have them by tuesday also.

not sure on the colour mate and i think the trims there because of the square headlights

i like the stock wheels but there a bit rough. when i get my 14's on il be refurbing them.

next on the refurb list. I'm thinking gold centre's and polished dish what you think?

the handles are off ebay cost just over £20 search for mk1 golf handles

seen a loon looking similar to this in Stoke a few times, thats all

had a nightmare gettin these wheels on like you wouldnt believe ended up burnin through a brand new tyre and the cars had to be raised and spaced to get the rears on :(

a little reverse rake i know but lowering top caps are ordered to bring the nose down another 15mm

very happy with the result altogether but the centre caps i brought dont fit so need to find some g60 ones.

Looking good matey. Where did you order your lowering top caps from as I could do with some myself lol

got them off here for £25 mate but you can get them from here
