Right so basically i bought this polo Gti for £1050 back in october from a guy in birmingham. At some point it was a Cat-D write off but know nothing about it lol. It has 74,000 miles on it, Roof has bad denting and very bad paint damage, bonnet has paint damage, dent on passenger sill, front and rear bumper have cracks in the paint, drivers window doesnt work, no pipe coming off the airbox for some reason, clutch sounds like its on its way out.

Took it to longlife and had a full stainless from manifold back, this included a sports cat and i also had the mid box removed. Had a oval exhaust tip put on to complete it, cost about £530 tohave this all done but defentley worth it :).

Then i managed to find some heko wind deflectors, so order some but had to get them from a german website so took a while to come, also got bored so had a go a respraying my front badge, went wrong and ended up with a chrome and red badge but doesnt look to bad lol.

Got some little bits, like seat covers and a bonnet bra ( not sure on the bra yet).

Also here is a picture of the bonnet damage, I'm wondering if it would just polish out with a machine polisher?

Also got around to fitting new cv joints to the front, a new clutch (turns out its not the clutch going, could either be the gear linkage or the gearbox :S) and a new temperature sensor.

So decide to go and buy this:

Bought it off Adam on here, believe it was someone elses on here before him. The reason i bought it was for the seeats and wheels really. They went straight into the Gti:

So got a few presents the other day, one off them is to solve the monster truck problem lol.

Also while i was at french car i decide to try out some carbon fibre vinyl, just to cover the bad roof till i can get it sprayed :)

Right need some help with the coilovers, just taken it for a test drive and they feel really bounce but not in the way coilovers should, need them to be stiffer. they are fk coilovers anybody know how to do this?

Also does anybody know if i had to use the bit on the top of the suspension in the picture below as they seem to clunk as i drive?

yeah that bit of the top mount you need mate, that helps it turn on the suspension, so you deffo need that, other than that they will prob be kinda bouncy, just put that bit on first and see if that makes it better! :)

Doesn't really matter how good the suspension is that you get, will still be bouncier than standard, i've got budget coilies and but i'm down to the floor, so i bounce around the same amount as my mate whose running FK's :)

You got the old top mounts on? if you do and there clunking they'll most probs be fucked best fitting new ones they easly wear out and the lower you go the shitter the ride they'll stiffen your ride which is why it bounce's more standard springs and shocks are designed to take impact and make the ride smooth coil overs loose this factor to gain better cornering

Right will fit that bit tomorrow, thanks for the advice people. its not bouncy as in stiffer ride i mean it bounces alot (ie. imagine the gap between the wheel and the arch, that gap goes big than small) any ideas?

Also got bored so vinyl wrap the front badge.
