am deep into thought about converting my coupe to a AFH on bike carbs :)

but i know the insurance will go up :( anyone whos done this know roughly how much it will go up by roughly? i know its going to be a lot as I'm 18 though

Thought as much sounds like a gt cam and chip is in order for now so bord with the lack of power lol

my insurance doubled from 550 to just shy of 1200 after converting, that was at 25, 2 yrs NCB.

you are going to get rim-jobbed at 18.

i really did do pretty well then i got mine for £1384 22yo 1 years no claims and 9 points 6 of which are for driving with no insurance.

and thats on a mk2 bready with afh on bike carbs and can do anything to the car lookwise and performance wise and can tune the engine upto 140bhp and this is on brentacre

My mk2 is a massive £430, no bike carbs mind but a fair few other mods.

Not sure how much the mk3 went up by as I was part way through a policy when I put the afh in and wasn't really paying a lot of attention on the phone, but monthly it went up just under a fiver, but again no bike carbs.

well at the moment i pay £230 a month fully comp as thats a cheap as i can get it and thats with them thinking its a standard car i think I'm just going to stick with it untill i get some no claims than put something bigger in
