1996 Golf VR6 Highline

Featured Replies

Just testing the waters really, as I am looking for a bit of a change for my VR6. Its a 1996 VR6 Highline in purple, with a 2.8 170BHP engine in 5 door. Being the Highline it benefits from the heated purple leather seats which still works, air conditioning which works ice cold, the side lights on the door pockets, and a wooden gear knob, all present and correct, and it confirms the Highline status on the V5.

Car has 11 months MOT and 2 Months TAX

The car has electric windows all four working, power steering, electric sun roof and electric mirrors all of which work.

The car is fitted with Audi Audi 17" alloys, and lowered 40mm, it has HDI lights, and Samco hoses throughout the engine bay, and is debadged. Its also fitted with a Cat 1, remote central locking kit off the key fob, it closes all the windows and sun roof.

The Bad

The front arches have started to rust through

Rear arch is starting to bubble

Slight rust on the top of the car above the windsreen.

Little spot of rust on above the passanger side rear light.

Front tyres needs replacing

Alloys kurbed

Slight wear on drivers seat but could be fixed.

The engine has done 165k but there is no chain rattle, and its just has new oil, spark plugs and new coil. On a long drive it will return 35MPG and around town 23-30DPG depending on how you drive 8-)

Pics to follow, based in Norwich.

Ideally wanting £900, but am wanting a mk3 polo so may be interested in PX.
