Not much of an update but one never the less.

All the brake pipes are finished and were covered in Thermo tech heat sheet along with the bulkhead. Picked up my Air set up last week so stuck the struts on for now, stuck the engine in on 2 mounts for good measure too.

Rear beam and subframe are at the powdercoaters and wont get them till friday so no updates probably untill next week.

heres some pictures to keep you happy.

Air-Lift Struts, 2 x ViAir compressors, AutoPilot V1 Digital Managments and a 2 Gallon Tank.

Engine in for now, might have to come back out again for some tweaking, thinking about redesigning the passenger mount too as it looks shit to be honest.

Sweet, slowly buy surely coming together nice. Will the bags take the power of the engine? I've always been told not to go with air as there no good for handling. Is this right?

I've heard abit if everything to be honest, saying there good saying its not worth it. But only one way to find out eh? If it doesn't work out then ill sell it on and spend about a grand on some top spec coilies.

Yep only one way to find out ha, ill keep an eye out to see if they're any good. If they are i might buy a set, i've always been steered away from them so will be interesting to see if its all a myth lol.

now then do you have the part number on the aux belt

nice one

Very, Very, Very Nice Build!... Quite Jealous :p

Well a small pictureless update, played around with the Air then decided i didnt want to run it so that got sold and picked up saturday. Just ordered a set of KW Variant 1 Inox-Line coilovers which will be coming to me late next week so just a waiting game for them but i can still get the rear beam etc on when my polybushed turn up...

I picked up the rear beam and subframe from the powdercoaters on friday looking all very nice in gloss black, built up the subframe with lower arms and the Polo GTI ARB with all new drops links, bushes bolts and nuts etc then bolted it up to the car.

Gear linkage is bolted to the car and the gearbox, tried to fit the clutch cable but doesnt fit quite how i want it so getting one made up by a local firm.

Just a waiting game on bits again at the moment but going smoothly nevertheless.

cheers

Thanks mate just trying to peice it all together just got hold of my wiring diagrams now though so can start on getting all the lighting plugs, indicator stalk, wiper stalk etc working.

Not gonna rush this for UD no point.

never rush - you only get disappointed in a rush job which takes longer to put right. with the electrics you cant afford to do it badly - an electrical fire will spread so quick that the car will be up in flames before you can shout "fire extinguisher!"
