Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a way to remove the glossy wear on a 6n2 steering wheel. If you rub hard and long enough, it starts to come off SLIGHTLY.

Half of my steering wheel is glossy and half is matte lol. Looks odd and looks a lot better matte.

Any techniques or advise is much appreciated.

p.s. It is not the fat steering wheel. It is the one that looks like the GTI leather one.

try a decent leather cleaner first , furnitureclinic.co.uk is pretty good ....if the coating is ruined under the dirt then they can see you a dye kit

It looks to me as if the matte portion is wear and the glossy is the original, if this is the case and you want it all to look matte, you will have to 'wear' all the glossy parts! Although I wouldn't do it to my car, one of those green scouring pads would probably achieve the effect that you are after.
