your top 3 reasons for being pulled.

Featured Replies

How often are you pulled for your drop, camber, rat appearance?

my best was being pulled 3 times in a week before my car came off the road and it looked like step toe and sons love child. Pulled out my car and into the back of their 'loon without a word being said as I'd come screaming off an island and they thought I'd stolen the car lmao

My M.O.T had ran out at midnight and it was about 12:30, only time I've ever been pulled, fair cop i'd say

still... what are the chances?!

I've only been pulled once, because I was 'speeding' 35 in a 40..

Wasn't too bad though, she was fit!

Used to get pulled in the van all the time to see what was in the back of it like. So that would be my main reason, there was never anything in there. Used to get pulled on the bike all the time because of the exhaust :/

I haven't been pulled in ages

Got pulled in my old GT conversion because it was missing half the front end and the bonnet was held on with rope

Got pulled in my old scirroco basically for it looking like a death trap, some of the stuff he pulled me up on were the side exit being held on with rope going from it up the side over the roof and into the boot, no front plate and German style rear, and wheels poking out a couple of inches all round.

Through he was sound about it and just told me that if he saw me driving it in that state again he would have it crushed, which when you consider just the poke could of got me banned through totting up it was nice of him. He had a bit of banter with me about the state of it too which I thought was pretty cool, nice to see one with a sense of humor

Got pulled on a Friday morning at 8.30am ish in my G40 in rush hour traffic.

They breathalyzed me  He thought I'd been out on Thursday night and still under the influence but no, I just looked like a filthy tramp bastard. He told me that nearly 50% of people they convict of being under the influence in my age range are caught the morning after the night before. Wish i had been pissed. The dent in my ego would have been less painful :-)

Iv got searched for drugs once and numberplated in windows because i just had the car out the body shop :/

Edit: oh yer and prest plates

My favourite was being pulled for taking a "strange" route home. The copper had already got my name and address up on his radio, then decided that taking a different route than what he would have taken was illegal so he pulled me over. When he found nothing wrong he tried to remove my rear bumper with his bare hands hahaha he said "oh I thought that looked like it was loose" douchebag

doing 20 down a 30 main street full of clubs, drunks walking out everywhere. avoiding them was apparently driving wrecklessly and nearly earned me a section 59!

I used to get pulled weekly in my civic type r, and every time got asked if it was my car, apparently, dressing a bit like a hobo, must mean i have no money and must have stolen it

Used to get pulled in the 205 cause it had a group a rally exhaust on it, lairy as hell cams and throttle bodies, sounded a bit loud

I've done the impossible. Got pulled for speeding on a c90. It was about midnight on a weekday, and i wanted to get home as quick as possible. I was hungry, cold and turtling. So i fire up the beast, and take advantage of the fact the roads are dead. About 30 seconds later a van pops up with the blues on. I pull over thinking fuuuuuuuck. Fortunately for me it was the same officer who arrested me for flying around the area on a royal mail bike (long story, essentially i outran a PCSO on a mountainbike who then threw a hissy fit and called for backup the idiot). He gets out the van, takes one look at the bike, said'Well youve moved up in the world! Slow down a bit mate, theres a lot of lads being took off scooters at this hour' and gets off. Was horrible though, i was high as shit, last time i smoked and rode.

I've been pulled loads before these are for some of the reasons,

pressed plates although there in english font and correctly stamped

hid out, they were on order as i dont know an actual shop to get them from so had to order from tinternet luckily i had a reciept in my car,

one copper was just genuinly interested and wanted to have a look at my car lol,

no seatbelt ( il put my hands up to that one and its £60 fine  )

numerous random stop and searches... aka being black on a friday night,

insurance and mot check... even though they can check that without stopping me,

tyre checks,

plate in window,

there is probably more but i cant remember the others... all within the space of 2 years,

i wouldnt mind but there never seems to be a genuine reason for stopping me,

I got pulled for having harnesses and from behind it looked like a didnt have a belt on... When the copper looked at my car he pulled out a tape measure and measured the distance between my sills and the floor, I was happy when he said there was only 3 inches :) But then he said a had a bald tyre on the front on the inner side because of the camber.... I got 3 points and a £60 pound fine.... I wasnt pleased :/ lol

The noise my exhaust made when it was idleing, Apparently it was too loud :/

Random searches, because I'm young and wear a hat and hoodie all the time

I've never been pulled, the police around here are more interested on getting back to the station for lunch..

I have lived in this area for 17 years and I have seen ONE person pulled up by them. Probably for doing 40 in a 30 (a lot of people speed on this one section of road so they like to sit with a speed gun from time to time.)

i wouldnt mind but there never seems to be a genuine reason for stopping me,

you just pointed out three =/

plate in window,

Avoiding potholes

Pressed plates

Too loud

Still too loud

Pressed plate again same car, same copper 6 months later

Being a dick

No tax (was taxed though)

thats about all the interesting reasons, normally its because its late at night and the cars modded

you should be more pleased that you only got a £60 quid fine and points for a bald tyre, rather than running someone over because you couldnt stop in time and getting jail time for dangerous driving...

My most annoying moment of late, was getting a section 59 for booting it off at some lights, on a 3 lane carriageway with no pedestrian footpaths and slowing down when I got up to the legal limit of 40!

non-debatable too, so I just took it on the chin. copper having a bad day I guess.

I've never been pulled.

I got pulled by some fat nice person when i was like 15 for riding my bike on the footpath though

The traffic cops round my way are well used to my decked polo buzzing around at all hours, they dont bother me anymore (used to though)

They ignore me and my mates for the local scooby and evo boyz who are just a damm annoyance

rolling a roll up in a layby ,they pull up thinking i was rolling a spliff

speeding they always hear me slow down when i see them

Damage to road surface due to vehicle height (Kicking up chippings that had built up in the centre of the lane with my exhaust on to his car)

Driving in an unsafe manner/suspected bald tyres/too fast for road surface on a 60 (doing 40 on shitty and slippy cheap tarmac and I exited with the back end stepping out/wheels losing traction but still in full control with a copper standing there with a speed gun)

Dirty Car a few times (always make sure my lights and plates are clean, after volksfest last year where most of the car was plasterd in thick mud, except for my plates that id wiped clean which didnt have a BSU or makers mark and slightly ghosted welsh dragons, so £60 & lesson learnt (if your cars covered in shit dont clean the plates))

Only had exhaust on 1 occasion and that was just because they though it was blowing but were happy with me giving it a few hard revs (12 at night in a residential area).

Have had a full drug search after a copper stuck his head in through the window saying he could smell weed and I replied "I dont smoke so it must be you"...3 cars, 1 riot van and 8 coppers to search a mk2f polo. hahaha

And once got given a Section59 for undertaking a corsa doing 40 on the A55 in the fast lane early in the morning, copper was decent and gave me a choice between that or a speeding ticket for 97mph (told me he was happy with how i was speeding as i was slowing at junctions/heavy traffic and only speeding up on empty stretches)

i've been pulled 3 times, first for german style plates, £60 fine. can't complain too much it was bound to happen sooner or later!

second time was me trying to get to the co-op by my mates before it closed at 11  copper pulled me over, thankfully had done all his checks previously so i didn't have to sit there for ages, he said "you seem to be driving a bit fast sir", i didn't know where he had seen me from so said "really? where to?", to which he replied "everywhere" i just said sorry, i was trying to get to the co-op before it closed, he sent me on my oway with a warning that driving like that could get me some points. so pretty good turn out!

third time was like 4 in the morning i was dropping my mate home, pulled me over because "it's late and we see two youngsters in a car, we thought you might have been out drinking, although your driving is very good" (that annoyed me, if my drivings alright why bother pulling me, bored with nothing to do? i'd like to get home thank you very much  )
